About

The Camping La Genziana campsite is beautifully situated in the heart of Abruzzo. The site impresses with its tall deciduous trees and picturesque views of the surrounding mountains. The hiking areas in the region are among the most beautiful in Italy and the campsite staff are happy to show holidaymakers some unique routes. Campers will find a children's playground, kiosk and restaurant on site. There are shops in the immediate neighbourhood and the wild and romantic Lago di Barrea with its bathing shore is just 1 km away. The municipality of Barrea is known for its charming historical buildings. In the winter months, day trips to the nearest ski resorts around 20 km away are also recommended.

Here you can not only enjoy a beautiful view, but also receive excellent hiking tips from the campsite manager for the Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo.

Great area, idyllically located campsite, very friendly operators. Starting point for fantastic hikes in the national park to picturesque mountain villages or for swimming in Lago di Baretta. Sanitary facilities are good and clean. Fresh mountain spring water. Even in July, it cools down quite a bit at night.
