We were at the site to take excursions in the surroundings. The location directly by the Sourge is wonderful and provides a noticeable cooling effect, especially during heat. There is direct access from the campsite with lounging opportunities right by the river. In the nearby area, there are beautiful excursion destinations such as Fontaine de Vaucluse and L'Isle sur la Sourge. The washrooms and toilets at the site are clean and in good condition. A few more toilets would be nice, but that is a minor issue. We had a lovely shady spot with water and a drainage directly on the site. Unfortunately, the pitch was rather tight for the (certainly in the upper segment priced) cost. We could just about place our Eriba Troll with the awning extended. The car was partly on the path. Overall, however, a real recommendation!

Beautifully maintained site along the course of the stream, sufficiently large parking spaces, clean sanitary facilities, friendly reception, wonderful croissants 🤰. Smaller pools, one was heated. WiFi is free for 1 hour per device at the parking space, unlimited in the reception/bar area. Opposite there is a climbing park, you can hear the road a bit during the day, but it's quiet at night. Outside of the season, trips to the Luberon, Avignon, or Nîmes are worthwhile. The nearby spring is worth seeing and you can eat well there. You can see from the designated size of the bus/parking spaces that unfortunately mass tourism is the order of the day here in summer. The site - highly recommended, would love to come back. Nature parks, mountains, sea and historic towns
If you spend your holiday at Camping La Coutelière, you will experience all facets of Provence. The first highlight of the region is right on the doorstep, so to speak: in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, the Sorgue rises from a karst spring at the foot of a limestone cliff that is well worth seeing. From here, it is only a few minutes to the municipality of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, where you can stroll over the picturesque bridges and admire the 200-year-old paddle wheels that have been preserved. Cyclists will find a dense network of cycle paths in the Luberon Nature Park, linking the most beautiful villages in the region. Those interested in culture should visit the historic city of Avignon. The city at the mouth of the Rhone and Durance rivers is famous for its imposing papal palace. On a tour of the old town, you will come across picturesque house facades and small bridges that contribute to Avignon's unique charm. Mont Ventoux rises to the north of the campsite. In winter, skiers can enjoy the 12 kilometres of pistes at an altitude of 1,400 to 1,800 metres. A ski bus stops 2 km from the campsite. In summer, Mont Ventoux is an Eldorado for cyclists and hikers. Located on the banks of the Sorgue and not far from Avignon in Provence, Camping La Coutelière occupies a beautiful meadow area with a dense stand of deciduous trees. The pitches are partly in the shade of the mighty trees. Visitors can go canoeing or boating on the Sorgue or use the network of hiking and cycling trails in the surrounding area.
