Avoid!

1

Anonymous

July 2025

Avoid! With the second Le Clos du Rhone! Arrived at 11 PM after 5 hours of driving, we were denied access to the campsite with our 3 children for fear of retaliation following an assault we were victims of by travelers a year ago at another campsite, La Brise. We are blacklisted but they are not. Thank you for your mediocrity and your lack of professionalism and humanity by leaving us on the street in the middle of the night with our children!

Good location, nice place, but with little care

March 2025

We have been here many times, simply because of the location. Now, at the beginning of March, nothing else is open. And we felt this monopoly at check-in: they really don't need to bother about the guests, they will come anyway. If you want to leave a day earlier, for example, or change to the area without electricity due to a lot of noise, you get nothing back from the paid. Currently, there is only one area open for campers with electricity needs, and there is constant comings and goings.

Nice beach, good location

Pleasant6

Sandra & Beat

August 2023

Large, impersonal campsite. Positive: Great location, small town and beach within walking distance Starting point for extensive cycling tours Pool area and shopping options (limited selection) Without a reservation, we were offered a place and could participate in the selection of the spot Negative: Dog feces everywhere, not cleaned up by dog owners or staff (the designated dog areas apparently are not being used) The sanitary facilities are not cleaned often enough. Showers full of hair and toilets unappetizing, soap was not refilled for days.

Stayed here for three nights

Superb10

September 2023

In September, three nights with a motorhome, got a spot of our choice. The reception staff was very nice, check-in was uncomplicated, the price was good since it was the off-season with ACSI discount. The way to the beach was short. Water was wonderfully refreshing. No mosquitoes, we felt comfortable.

Scam, Mosquito Paradise

2

Nick

April 2023

We wanted to stay here for 5 nights with our daughter and dog and had to pay everything in advance. Not only were the spots so uneven and rutted that it was hardly possible to sit comfortably, but sitting outside in general was also out of the question, as from 7 PM onwards there was a real plague of mosquitoes. There were so many mosquitoes everywhere that no spray helped, and our chairs appeared to be black with all the critters. On the way to the reception, we noticed that almost everyone was experiencing the same thing and everyone on the campsite was vigorously swatting around them. Upon arrival at the reception, we were not even acknowledged. We were silently handed a note stating in several languages that there was no money back. Reluctantly, we retreated to the camper for the rest of the evening. The next morning we noticed huge mosquito lamps around the campsite. At the reception, we were told that they knew nothing about mosquitoes and that there was also no money back. We were advised to contact the main operator (Camping Paradies) by email. Our traveling toddler has an allergy to mosquito bites, and we would have liked to receive information about this in advance, as well as that we would like our money back, but to this day, no one we have emailed is interested. In hindsight, we read reviews where the mosquito problem had already been addressed. If we had known this beforehand, we would not have been over 200€ poorer and over 100 mosquito bites richer! In the future, we will not be heading to any Camping Paradies campsite.

Great Location, Average Campsite

May 2023

The location is great. A short walk to the sea and into the town. Great pool. At the beginning of June, there are already a lot of mosquitoes, rarely hot water when washing, and very little water comes from the showers. Some pitches are very small (definitely check in advance which pitch you want).

Beautiful location, but that's about it.

May 2022

The fact that the sanitary facilities are operated unisex is fine with low occupancy, but that the toilets are only rinsed with cold water once a day and that's it is unacceptable. The grill is cleaned more thoroughly and for longer. The sanitary facilities have aged quite a bit, but everything works for the most part. Broken windows and spider webs shouldn’t be there. I think the operator is transitioning to mobile homes. Where there used to be parking spaces, there are now mobile homes. The location to the beach and town is really great. However, and the operator can't do anything about it, there were a lot of mosquitoes. There is also very little shade.
