If you want to combine a city trip to the global metropolis of Paris with a holiday in the countryside, then Camping La Belle Étoile is the perfect place for you. It is located around 30 minutes from the French capital on the edge of the Fontainebleau forest. The well-kept site borders the Seine. The centrepiece of the complex is the covered pool. Another favourite meeting place, especially for children, is the playground or the trampoline area. Go-karts for young holidaymakers can be hired from reception. Families like to book a pitch on the site because they can book tickets for Disneyland Paris here. WLAN is available at the campsite for a fee.
Well-managed campsite with good train connections to the center of Paris (Melun train station is about a 15-minute walk away).
Located on a cycling network.

We spent 4 days at the site, the train journey to Paris is very pleasant. The site itself is really beautiful, the Seine is visible and the playground and swimming pool are great for the kids. The snack bar is very nice and affordable, the operators are super dedicated. We will gladly come back.

Actually quite well-located place. Flat terrain. Good pitches. Except for our pitch next to the playground, where a very loud blower for a bouncy castle runs nonstop. The lady at the reception refused to give us another spot, reasoning that we were only staying for one night. The baths and toilets are quite old and pretty dirty. Conclusion: no recommendation.

We visited the site for a viewing day in Paris. The pitches are large and beautifully laid out, with many trees and bushes. The location right by the Seine is also nice, although there is only a short stretch of a makeshift footpath along the Seine (and a small, simple bathing area). There is electricity at the pitch, but the connection is not very powerful - using a toaster and kettle at the same time does not work. There is a small shop, a small pool, and a pretty good snack bar. However, during busy times, it can get a bit hectic. You can also have food delivered to the pitch (pickup is not possible!), but this is only available for orders placed right at the beginning (7 PM) and only in very limited quantities - so if you're interested, it's best to be there right at 7 PM! You can reach the Melun train station in about a 20-minute walk, from there it takes about 30 minutes by train to the center of Paris - great for visits. Since many people see it this way, there is quite a bit of turnover at the site; most people only stay for a short time. The only downside is that, especially when the site is well occupied, the sanitary facilities are quite simple and not always optimally maintained - there is room for improvement here. Oh, and we were there with a dog, which was not a problem. You could make good use of the outdoor area outside the site. However, it is not one of the places particularly designed for dogs.

We were only on the site for one night. The location is good for visiting Paris. The sanitary facilities were more than modest and also not clean.

Great location by the Seine. Very good public transport connection to Paris. The facility is well-maintained, but you can feel the wear.
