Small, lovingly run campsite in family operation in a sunny mountain valley
Superb10
Uli
Small, lovingly managed campsite in a family-run setting with a very warm atmosphere in a sunny mountain valley. Every Thursday evening, there seems to be a festivity with refreshments (a huge delicious paella), in which anyone can participate upon registration. Clean (not modern, but well-kept) sanitary facilities, beautiful pool area including sun loungers and umbrellas, children's playground, petanque court and much more. Next door, a donkey could be heard. The mountain village is accessible on foot, as well as various opportunities for hiking, cycling, sightseeing (caves, yellow train, thermal baths, fortresses...) in the area. A very pleasant place and starting point for a few relaxing days in the Pyrenees, we will definitely come back!

Very nice campsite!
Superb10

We felt very comfortable. The greeting was very friendly and despite small language barriers, everything worked wonderfully. The site itself was tidy and we had enough space with our motorhome. Sanitary facilities were functional and clean. There was also a small pool with loungers. A very good starting point for cycling tours and hikes. The Yellow Train starting in Villefranche is a super experience and Abbaye St-Martin-du-Canigou is a must. We would love to come back...

Great place & great hosts
Very good8
Jan
A beautiful site in an idyllic mountain village with very friendly hosts. We were there for 2 days at the start of the season, and in the evening there was a big paella festival with live music and a wonderful atmosphere. A small pool, playground, restaurant, reading corner, table football, tent meadow, football pitch, everything is there and lovingly arranged. With hiking boots and/or bicycles, you can explore the beautiful surroundings outside the village. The sanitary facilities were simple but always clean. Although it is not a modern luxury campsite, we were very convinced by the location, mood, charm, hosts/hospitality, and amenities, and we definitely plan to return for a few days.

More info about Camping L'Eau Vive
The charming grounds of Camping L' Eau Vive are like a little cosmos of their own.
Enchanting oasis by the living water
People have lived by the river since time immemorial. Here too, in the middle of the historic cultural landscape of Occitania, camping enthusiasts can enjoy life by the River Cady. Cosy picnic spots await on the banks and the little ones in particular never tire of playing in the gently lapping water. They do their laps in the heated pool before the southern sun kisses the pearls of the lively water off their skin. Meanwhile, sports enthusiasts get plenty of exercise in the spacious sports area. Barbecue-loving fathers fire up one of the stone barbecue ovens and, while the embers are burning, skilful mothers conjure up crisp, fresh salads and vegetables that they have just bought at the on-site farmers' market. "Life like God in France" begins here.
Socialising and retreat: both are possible!
While the aroma of melted cheese wafts over from the restaurant, couples practise the latest moves for an evening of dancing. In summer, the family-run place focusses on good entertainment. Those longing for some cosy peace and quiet can indulge in all the arts of wellness at the nearby Vernet-les-Bains thermal spa. Couples, singles or families who are not travelling with their own caravan or motorhome will also find cosy bivouacs or fixed tents to rent. The site has well-maintained sanitary facilities, naturally with hot showers and individual wash cubicles. Spacious dishwashing sinks are also standard, as are emptying facilities for waste water tanks and cassette toilets.
Camping L' Eau Vive is a magical retreat where nature and comfort harmonise. Entertainment, children's playgrounds, sports facilities and hiking trails await.
