Beautiful tent meadow right by the lake as well as some pitches between permanent campers. Flat, elongated grassy area with deciduous trees and bushes, by the shore of Thurnberg Reservoir. Below a wooded slope. Note: Narrow road with sections of 10% incline on approach.
Access to water
Approximately 60x30 m large bathing pond with gravel and sandy bathing bay, jetty and sunbathing lawn. At the reservoir, further bathing possibilities: a roughly 50 m long pebble beach.

Very nicely located campsite directly by the dam lake with many access points for kayaking or SUP - also accepts dogs. The managers were exceptionally friendly and there are many recreational activities from rowing or pedal boat rentals, to tennis and mini golf. As it is a reservoir, the water is always relatively fresh.

We chose the place rather by chance because it was in the right location for the next night. Now we have been here for 2 nights and may stay even longer! Very nice operators with a small good menu at Seestüberl. Minigolf, boat rental, sanitary facilities are clean, shower with hot water requires a 1 Euro coin. We were there with the tent in August. The site is beautifully located by the Thurnberger Reservoir. Great for children, as there is a wonderful playground. You don't immediately enter deep water in the reservoir, but the water was relatively cold. There is also a warmer bathing pond. The reservoir is great for stand-up paddling. Not overcrowded. Sanitary facilities are quite okay but a bit further away from the campsite. However, there is a toilet right next to the campsites. You can reach the "center" via a small bridge, where there is a small shop and an ATM. No snails or mosquitoes.
