Friendly staff and very child-friendly. Sanitary facilities are somewhat older but very clean and well-maintained. A new sanitary building is currently under construction. Very nice children's playground. Bus stop right in front of the place. You can get everywhere very quickly by car. We will come back.

The location itself is very nicely situated, with a bathing pond, indoor swimming pool, and (sauna available for a fee) a large children's playground. But: Plots are quite narrow. Everywhere on the site you find corners and also some things that are aging. The stairs to the swimming pool are anything but safe; all steps wobble and are loose. In the swimming pool itself, the changing room is very nice. But in the indoor pool, it really needs to be cleaned; the basin has a dirty edge, dirt is in the corners and on the floor. Also, the walls have been started but never finished. Wi-Fi is also very poor on the site. All in all, one can say it's a campsite with a maintenance backlog from the last 5 years. Maybe one should ask how ADAC always rates this.

A great family campsite with nice features: the bathing pond is very nice, the small indoor pool is a good place for bad weather days, and the large playground offers many opportunities. A small shop that also offers gas bottles, and a guesthouse (which we did not visit) complete the offerings. At the reception, we were treated very kindly. The only points of criticism: the (area-wide?) Wi-Fi network is poor, and there is a lack of good signage - newcomers can be recognized by their questioning looks in search of showers, disposal areas, etc. For three nights, we paid €112 (2 adults, 1 child, camper van) including the local tax, which we found reasonable.

We adults were initially not so enthusiastic: - no animals like the described goats, sometimes you might see a horse - owner and staff somewhat unfriendly (not greeting, in one of the two restaurants they were quite arrogant several times, one-word answers to questions and overall rather gave the impression of being annoyed) - cleanliness in the sanitary facilities rather superficial - only one washing machine, which we find very "thin" for a family camping site - no possibility to dump or get rid of anything in the area of the pitches (pasta water, emptying water bottles,...) - so that muddy shoes form around the tap - WiFi only in the immediate vicinity of the main house, not in any way throughout the whole site as advertised - pitches not level or not arranged - former paddock has been converted into additional pitches or tent sites, the significantly increased number of guests is of course noticeable in the sanitary area (and at the washing machine;-) ) Now for the positive part: - indoor pool (however, we don't believe in the 29 degrees) and great swimming pond with a toddler area and beautiful sunbathing lawn - the children quickly make connections, e.g. on the playground with the sports area, there are just super many families here - dogs are not a problem, nice walks from the site are very possible - many great destinations and hiking trails in the area - HochschwarzwaldCard allows many free and discounted activities - the shop at the site is great, there are many delicious drinks for the whole family from the private brewery, of course also non-alcoholic, very tasty rolls - so you don’t have to constantly go shopping elsewhere - the food in both restaurants was tasty, both have a kids' menu - spacious pitches, large caravans are no problem Conclusion: The children were happy here, so the parents are relaxed!! It wasn't all as expected, but overall it worked out and a repeat vacation is certainly not out of the question.

We were there for the first time and will definitely come back! We felt completely at home from the very first moment, which was certainly due to the warm welcome we received. The staff was so accommodating and above average friendly and helpful! ❤️ The place itself is small and cozy, offering everything a camper's heart desires: clean sanitary facilities, a nice shop, sauna, and indoor pool. And of course, with the Hochschwarzwald-Card, it's a great starting point for all kinds of excursions.
