We have been here several times before, it was always very nice, quiet, and had a beautiful beach. This time, however, we had to (with some other campers) leave the site in a hurry. Slovenian permanent campers turned the site into an open-air disco with very, very loud music and shouting, and this went on all day until just before midnight. Despite several complaints and a visit from security, this could not be stopped - the only reaction was a shrug and the comment 'they are just Slovenians'. This was definitely our last visit there - a real shame, until now it had always been very nice.

We were there in August 23, very beautiful well-maintained campsite, sanitary facilities clean, washing machine and dryer available, gravel beach accessible via stairs, nice lounging areas on grass and in shade provided by trees or umbrellas, sun loungers available for rent, good and affordable food in the restaurant right by the sea, very friendly staff despite high season, unfortunately very loud party music from the other bay side until 3-4 in the morning.

A beautiful place without feeling cramped. Partly shaded spots. Electricity and water at the pitches, which are quite large. Peaceful place with occasional noise from the bay. Sanitary facilities clean and frequently cleaned. Overall recommended.

Very clean, enough space at the parking spot, nice staff and also many German tourists. The most important thing is that everyone has enough space on the beach. Of course, the beach is rocky like everywhere in Croatia, but there is also enough space where one can simply lie down. The water is as crystal clear as everywhere in Croatia, and you can wonderfully swim here. You don't need more for a lovely vacation. A small drawback is that you can hear music from the Slovenian side across the water, but it’s not so bad that it’s absolutely disturbing. The campsite is behind the textile beach, which is separated by a barrier.

A really beautiful campsite. Very large pitches. Great natural beach that is cleaned very often. Private dog beach. Private shower for the four-legged friends. Very clean sanitary facilities. Always cheerful service people. Particularly recommended, restaurant Lama. The prices are very good. Also bookable for solo travelers. Very good bike paths to the next city/villages. Interesting surroundings. Slovenia Trieste, everything very quickly accessible. I will also go back to this beautiful place in 2022.

Great place with a fantastic view, plots large enough, small well-equipped market, sanitary facilities super clean and central. Plots are very close to the beach or water, good little Croatian restaurant on the beach. Occasionally, depending on the wind direction, you can hear disco music from the opposite land side from Slovenia. But it wasn't too bad.

We visited this site for the first time and were positively surprised. Since the reception is located about 800m away from the actual campsite, it is advisable to bike to the site selection, otherwise the uphill and downhill trek could diminish your desire to camp here. For dog owners, there is a great beach area available. However, this and all the other areas are only accessible via stairs without a handrail. So, it's a no-go for guests with mobility disabilities. It's a shame, that could be improved. The staff was always very friendly, and the sanitary facilities were kept very clean. However, the restaurant, which feels like you're sitting above the sea, is in urgent need of modernization. Perhaps the staff would then be more motivated at work. Nonetheless, they were always very friendly. The menu is simple and small, but the dishes are very tasty and inexpensive. We wouldn't have expected that after the first impression. On the site itself, it is very quiet; going to bed early and waking up late is normal here. There are also many regular guests; everyone knows everyone, and newcomers are warmly welcomed. All in all, a very nice place with some drawbacks. It is good to really relax for a few days, but in my opinion, it is too monotonous to spend a longer vacation here.

In the picturesque bay of Piran, the idyllically situated Kanegra campsite is surrounded by fragrant Mediterranean trees directly on the fine pebble beach typical of Istria. The relatively small, family-friendly campsite is only around 10 km from the popular harbour town of Umag and is an insider tip, especially among fans of naturism: part of the site is reserved for naturists. Bathers can try out a wide range of sports in the gently sloping waters of the Adriatic.
If you are looking for a small and cosy campsite with plenty of space for families and groups, then the lively Camping Kanegra on the Bay of Piran is just the place for you. Just 141 pitches for caravans, motorhomes and campers are spread across the 3-hectare campsite. This quickly creates a family atmosphere that makes it easy to get to know the camping guests on the neighbouring pitches. At PiNCAMP, Camping Kanegra is one of the most popular campsites in Istria as an "ADAC tip" and receives many good reviews from other travellers.
The special thing about the campsite is that it is divided into two parts surrounded by rocks and wooded slopes: In one part, naturists and naturists are very welcome, while the bungalow settlement in the other part is connected to a large sports area. The pitches for campers are located in the immediate vicinity of the Adriatic coast and are suitable for up to 6 people, each with different pitch sizes. All pitches are equipped with electricity, fresh water supply and grey water disposal. There is also free WLAN throughout the site. The modern sanitary facilities with hot showers and disabled toilets have washing machines, a baby changing room and a dishwashing sink.
Camping Kanegra is a pet-friendly campsite and allows dogs and other pets on the entire campsite site on presentation of a pet licence. The pebble beach has its own dog beach with bathing facilities for four-legged friends. There is also a dog shower in the sanitary area for cooling off on particularly hot summer days.
If you want to eat out in the evening, you can treat yourself to local and international dishes in the restaurant. There is also a mini market with fresh groceries and other everyday items. After a shopping trip to the small grocery store at Camping Kanegra, guests will have all the ingredients they need to prepare meals in their own motorhome or in the barbecue area with the whole family.
There's never a dull moment at Kanegra campsite! Campers can enjoy a wide range of sports activities, water sports and other exciting leisure pursuits on the holiday site. A match on the tennis court or a game of volleyball on the holiday resort's multi-purpose playing field are popular. The resort's mini golf course is a great way to have fun with the whole family. The resort's own children's entertainment programme and playground ensure that the youngest guests quickly make friends.
There is a particularly wide range of sports on offer for water lovers in the Bay of Piran on the Croatian peninsula of Istria: families with children can hire a pedalo or banana boat and go on short round trips or canoe trips along the coast. As the region has one of the best-developed networks of cycle paths in Istria, it is also worth hiring a two-wheeler with all the equipment for a day from the naturist camp's bike hire service and following the Salviana trail along the coast, for example: The Savudrija lighthouse, the old town walls and towers of Umag and the Istrian hinterland are the highlights of this excursion. A day trip to medieval Umag ends with a cosy evening in one of the local taverns. Fish dishes with Istrian truffles are at the top of the menu for the locals.
As an ADAC tip, the Kanegra campsite is very popular and books up quickly, especially in the main holiday season. To avoid disappointment, it's best to use the PiNCAMP booking system and secure your dream pitch on the Adriatic coast of Istria now. You will also find many other great campsites in Istria and the rest of Croatia. As an ADAC Campingcard holder, you will also receive discounts and other extras at many campsites.
