Very warm welcome from the boss, generous pitches, the campsite has its own charm which will probably be seen from day 2. That was our experience. Now, in the off-season, the place itself feels deserted. Showers and toilets are old but clean. Super hot water. Space, Wi-Fi, electricity, showers. All included for €25. We stayed for two days. If the place wasn't deserted, we would have stayed longer. Being able to have a drink or order a pizza is also quite nice. Maybe we'll stop by again on the way back, by then the season should have opened. 👌🏻

The owner makes an effort to keep the site in good shape, within his capabilities. I can confirm the rating of 2 and a half stars. Everything is very simple, small plots. Overall relatively clean (sanitary facilities). Metaponto has probably seen its best days - many construction ruins. However, this does not diminish the commitment of the site owner. We use the site for trips to Alberobello and Matera.

Small, clean place without animation and pizzeria. The free beach is reachable in 1 minute via a back exit over a small street. Wi-Fi is available. The showers are free and as clean as the toilets. Restaurants are located within walking distance along the beach promenade. Groceries can be purchased at the supermarket 2.5 km away or from direct marketers on the street (fruits and vegetables). The pitches (17) are sufficiently large.
