The site was OK, the restroom and cleanliness in general are fine. The beach is located at a river mouth and is a mix of gravel and sand. We were accommodated with the VW California at the camping sites. There you hardly notice anything from the loud entertainment and the busy road. The area is very… More

To be able to move around the facility, you need a chip to open the gates. Unfortunately, it is very small and can easily be lost. Additionally, you need this chip to take a shower. You insert it into a machine outside the shower and then have about 2 minutes to shower. If you don't manage to finish… More

Thanks to its direct location on the beach and the many activities on offer, Gitavillage Argentario is ideal for sports enthusiasts, sun worshippers and families with children. Boat owners can look forward to plenty of moorings. The campsite is located in the middle of an old pine forest, which provides plenty of shade and creates a feeling of being close to nature. An exciting water park and the varied entertainment programme make a stay at the Argentario an all-round successful experience on the Mediterranean.
The holiday resort for campers is located 2 km from the centre of the Tuscan municipality of Albinia, directly on a natural land bridge that leads to the picturesque Monte Argentario peninsula. This is still considered an insider tip. There are 280 parcelled-out pitches, each measuring 60 to 70 square metres, on the 12-hectare site. The basic facilities include an electricity connection and emptying of the cassette toilets. Washing machines and tumble dryers are available in the communal area. The helpful staff speak Italian, English and German. The campsite offers barrier-free sanitary cabins for guests with reduced mobility. Free Wi-Fi and two Mediterranean restaurants provide further comfort on the campsite. There is no shortage of fun and entertainment on the site. The seaside part of the site borders on a fine sandy beach that is around 30 metres wide and 200 metres long. Various sports equipment can also be hired here. Guests can enjoy beach volleyball and sports such as aqua gym or take part in diving courses. Bicycle hire is also available. Fun for young and old is guaranteed in the water park with whirlpool, waterfall, slide and more. Parties, evening programmes and tournaments for active holidaymakers are held daily in the amphitheatre. Gitavillage Argentario is also happy to organise spectacular excursions for its guests, for example to the sulphur thermal baths of Saturnia, island tours by catamaran, diving excursions or trips to the most beautiful areas and old villages in the region.
In addition to endless sandy beaches, the 26.9 square kilometre Orbetello lagoon - a WWF nature reserve - on the other side of the land bridge certainly stands out among the sights. It is home to rare birds, amphibians and fish - interesting nature observations are guaranteed. The municipality of Orbetello of the same name, around 6.5 kilometres south of the campsite as the crow flies, is an absolutely worthwhile excursion destination with typical historical buildings just waiting to be explored. If you follow the headland from Gitavillage Argentario for about 7 km southwards, you will reach the "Monte Argentario" peninsula. Picturesque bays and villages, the mountainous interior, bathing fun on secluded beaches or marvellous panoramic hikes: a wide range of activities are on offer in this unspoilt and authentic region off the Tuscan coast.
