our favorite campsite has a great location between the Rhine and the canal on an island just after the border. We can quickly bike to Germany, Breisach for shopping, etc. Just as quickly, there are shopping opportunities in France by bike. The site is very beautiful, somewhat wild, and sometimes the hot water doesn't work... but that's camping. Bring toilet paper with you to the restroom, women and men share the sanitary facilities in the off-season. In the main season, 1-2 ladies' restrooms are opened. Large plots, separated by hedges, often flat. Unfortunately, the most beautiful plots are filled with rental cabins. I hope it remains a beautiful, true campsite for a long time.

The plots are very spacious and most are very well maintained. Clean sanitary facilities. The staff is multilingual and helpful. What was not so nice: the condition of the recreational activities such as the basketball court, football field, and table tennis table. The gastronomic offer seemed rather uninviting to us.

Unfriendly young lady at the reception. Only one dog allowed. Restaurant/bar only open in the evenings. No swimming pool on the site. Bathing facilities in the immediate vicinity. Despite the high season, many, partly unkempt, empty pitches. One somehow had the feeling of not being wanted. I have never experienced this in France before. It was much better years ago. We will not be visiting this site again.

This campsite located directly behind the French border was only half full during our visit in the high season. The operators seemed to be so aware of this situation that they didn't even maintain some plots; here the weeds grew to knee height, while other plots were freshly mowed, which overall gave a somewhat dilapidated impression. It was pleasant that the hedges delimiting the (not particularly large) plots were high enough to allow for quite intimate camping. The sanitary facilities seemed modern at first, but soon it became clear that the operators could only provide cold water both in the sinks and the showers - unfortunate if, for example, you offer a separate parent-child shower, but cannot warm up your baby there. During our stay, there was an evening concert featuring Peruvian pan flute players on the premises, fortunately at a modest volume...
