Camping Hopfensee

The Hopfensee campsite on the lake of the same name near Füssen is one of the most beautiful campsites in the Allgäu and is particularly popular with families with children. The spacious site in beautiful natural surroundings offers many attractive sports and leisure activities and a comprehensive wellness programme that leaves nothing to be desired. Dogs are welcome guests and the site is also very popular for winter camping.

Fantastic family campsite with panoramic views of the Alps

Nestled in a picturesque Alpine panorama and with a wonderful view of the lake, Camping Hopfensee is the perfect retreat for families. The partly stepped meadow area, overgrown with coniferous and deciduous trees, offers almost 400 pitches on 8 hectares with a tarmac forecourt. Despite its size, the site is easy to navigate. High hedges between the pitches ensure sufficient privacy. There are no tent pitches at the Hopfensee campsite. Instead, guests without mobile accommodation can stay in pretty holiday homes or cottages. The rental accommodation is fully equipped and has several rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. There are separate fresh water and electricity connections for the pitches, allowing individual billing. The centrally located sanitary facilities with baby changing room are in exemplary condition. In addition to the usual supply and disposal facilities for motorhomes, TV connections and WLAN network, Camping Hopfensee also has a cinema, several good restaurants and a grocery shop for everyday necessities. Every guest receives a small information pack at check-in with all the important facts about the site and the surrounding area. Anyone travelling to the Allgäu with their four-legged family member will be delighted with the separate dog shower and the dog-friendly ambience.

Huge leisure and wellness offer

The leisure activities on offer at the Hopfensee campsite leave nothing to be desired. A highlight in summer is of course the leisure lake of the same name, which invites you to swim or take a boat trip on the water. If the weather doesn't play ball, the playhouse, the well-equipped children's playground and the modern swimming pool with indoor pool are fantastic alternatives. The sauna and wellness facilities are also worth mentioning. The wellness programme ranges from a Swiss stone pine sauna to a wellness spa and a mosaic steam bath. On the tennis court or while playing a round of table tennis, you can quickly get into conversation with other campers, make appointments for the lovingly put together evening programme or exchange tips on the golf academy, walking courses or herb hikes. Winter camping fans can take advantage of the extensive range of activities on offer, such as ice skating and curling as well as ski hire and a children's ski school.

The campsite on Lake Hopfensee is the starting point for all kinds of excursions. Nearby Füssen, the spa town of Hopfen am See and the Allgäu region offer many great sights and activities. Lake Hopfensee, a popular recreational lake, is ideal for exploring the water by rowing boat or pedalo. Numerous hiking trails lead through the wonderful pre-alpine natural landscape and invite you to take long walks with or without children or four-legged companions. If you prefer, you can also actively explore the surrounding area by bike.
