The site is very well maintained. The staff is very nice and helpful. The pitches are large. The sanitary facilities are very clean and spacious. In the swimming lake, you can swim wonderfully or go stand-up paddling. There is a stop right at the site. From there, you can travel for free by train with the guest card. The train runs every hour. There are countless hiking or biking tours available. In the village, there is a well-stocked supermarket. At the site, there are fresh rolls every day. This time we had a spot right by the swimming lake. Beautiful. We have been coming here for many years and it is always lovely.

The parking spaces are generously sized, located in a mix with permanent parking spots. A bus stop is directly at the site, and travel with the regional bus and train is free with the tourist card. The staff is friendly and helpful, the small camping shop offers a wide range of camping equipment, and the grocery shop is also well stocked. The dog walking area outside the premises is large and well frequented. A playground and a swimming pond invite you to linger, but swimming in the shallow and unfortunately rather muddy water requires some determination. Of the two spacious sanitary facilities, one is newly renovated and meets modern standards. Unfortunately, the only opportunity for emptying chemical toilets is located here, which can lead to long walks on the large premises. Disposal options should be made available at the other sanitary facility as well. Overall, we experienced a relaxing and casual stay; despite some minor limitations, the site is recommended.

The campsite is beautifully situated in the heart of the Bavarian Forest. The sanitary facilities were always clean. For the children, there is a large play area, a playground, and a small lake or larger pond for swimming. For dog lovers, there is a separate dog field. From the campsite, you can travel for free with the Upper Palatinate Railway in different directions for shopping or to great excursion destinations. We had a lot of fun as a family and would love to come back.

For excursions in the surroundings, nicely located campsite. Swimming lake on site. Sanitary building 2 under renovation and partially renewed since 2018/2019. Lunch break 1 PM - 3 PM. Target audience: Campers over 50 who have no high demands. Unfortunately, there is no restaurant on site. Varying daily specials at the camper snack during holidays. Direct train connection with its own stop for campers with a guest card free use of the trains. Disadvantage: overzealous conductors who sound the horn extensively at every stop. Also in the early morning hours!
