Camping Höllensteinsee

Last week, we camped with our dog at the campsite. The pitches are spacious. We were able to set up a dog fence. The sanitary facilities are excellent. You always look forward to taking a shower. We have been to many campsites, but nothing like this is offered anywhere. They were also always very clean. For us, the week spent there was very relaxing. You can also take wonderful walks with the dog. The scenery is beautiful! The dog beach could still be improved. When going into the water with the dog, it is not very pleasant. We went boating on the lake. The lake was surprisingly good for swimming as well. All in all, we were thrilled and will definitely go back!

Here is a short, positive review: We had a wonderful stay at Hollensteinsee. What particularly excited us was the dreamy location right by the lake, the very clean and high-quality sanitary facilities, and the great breakfast service. The overall ambiance at the campsite is extremely well-kept and inviting. We also want to highlight the exceptional friendliness of the staff, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We will gladly return!

A beautiful campsite directly by the Black Regen or Höllensteinsee. Very quiet, everything is top clean and modern. I will definitely go there again.

We were at the Höllensteinsee several times in 2023 and always satisfied. When we wanted to book for 2024 today, we had to find out that dogs are no longer welcome in the nicest spots. We now have a two-class society here as well. Too bad, for us the level has dropped from very good to absolutely bad!

This campsite is personally the ideal example of a perfect (quiet - without animations, etc.) campsite. The location is very remote in the valley by the Black Regen river. There is a large meadow with some trees. Many campsites are located directly by the river (in the high season, however, these are only available by prior reservation), and the remaining campsites are very large and have water and electricity connections. On the entire site, there are two very modern sanitary facilities (a small one and a large one in the main building). The amenities are almost luxurious, as the showers and toilets are very spacious and modernly designed. In the main building, there is also a small kiosk with an attached snack bar, and for when the snack bar is closed, there is a vending machine available. A very positive highlight is the offer of the fire pit. Every guest can borrow a fire pit including wood. There is only public transportation access through a call bus.
