Noisy clientele in the square, families with small children and overwhelmed parents. The 2 showers for everyone are of course overcrowded during peak hours. Fortunately, we have a campervan with a shower 😉. Otherwise expensive, €50 per day for a campervan with 2 people, including electricity. Very basic amenities, minimalist ... but there are a few very nice idyllic spots right by the water and with the scooter, we can quickly reach the center.

There is no reception, you choose a free spot. The money is collected in the evening. We spent two nights there to visit Amsterdam, which is about 8 km away. The sanitary facilities are by no means up to current standards. There are only 4 individual showers. You have to bring your own toilet paper. During our 48-hour stay, the sanitary facilities have not been cleaned. The price for a camper/2 people/electricity (no washing machine/dryer available) is € 30,-, the same for the low/high season. This price is completely unreasonable and is justified by the proximity to Amsterdam. However, it should be noted that the return ticket to the center costs € 13,- per person. There are alternatives to this spot also nearby Amsterdam.

The campsite is relatively clear, with almost all regular pitches by the water, and there are two additional areas available as camping space if needed. The site is located about 5km north of Amsterdam, and the public transport connection is very good. There is no reception; someone comes by in the morning and evening to collect fees. The sanitary facilities are somewhat older and, despite daily cleaning, unfortunately not very clean. Toilets are sufficiently available, but there are rather few showers, and there is a lack of storage options in the cabins. There are two refrigerators and three sinks available. Very positively: you can camp next to your car, have electricity and water available, and the prices are good. Those planning trips by boat or bike will feel well accommodated here. You can have peace and quiet on the site if you wish. The site is well-suited for families with children - especially small children. A small beach section is also available - very refreshing on hot days.
