Camping Heiterwanger See

The "Fischer am See" campsite in Heiterwang is a real gem for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation! Located right by the picturesque Heiterwanger See, the site impresses with a dreamlike setting and a relaxed atmosphere with direct access to the lake, inviting you to swim, sail, or simply relax. The sanitary facilities are modern and always well-maintained, and the team is super friendly and helpful. There is a playground for families, and dogs are also welcome. The small shop on site provides you with the essentials, and there are great hiking and cycling paths in the area. Only the high season can be a bit busier, but that barely bothers anyone because the site never feels overcrowded. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature – we will definitely come back!

Good possibility of reservation (phone/email), very friendly reception, very helpful staff (Kerstin). Super sanitary facilities, modern and clean. Restaurant in the hotel is highly recommended; good value for money, very nice attentive service. Even Wi-Fi works without any problems. Beautiful area (lake, Alps), many leisure activities.

We visited the campsite on our way to Italy. The site is peacefully located by the lake amidst the mountains. The facility is very spacious, and all campers have enough room for themselves. The sanitary building is new, modern, and very clean. For children, the site offers a nice playground. The lady at the reception is very friendly. The restaurant in the associated hotel also pleased us very much, the food is very delicious. We liked the site so much that we booked another overnight stay at the site on our way back.

A great spacious campsite right by the lake. The pitches are generous and beautifully laid out. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are clean and new.

We went climbing and mountain biking here for a week in July. This is a top camping site 🚵‍♂️ directly by the lake with many leisure activities...! The toilets and showers 🚽 are brand new and in the most modern condition... clean and well-kept. The lady at the reception is very very helpful and incredibly friendly. The food in the restaurant is very good. A lovely place... we would gladly come back.

At the campsite, there are different zones that you can book. I can recommend the river there. It is really quiet. The shower rooms are brand new and always clean. The only downside is that the closest supermarket is quite far away (if you don't have bicycles or a second car) and you can't buy anything at the campsite. We've had campsites with vending machines where there was quite a bit to buy: milk, butter, sunscreen, etc. And one must know that no rolls are delivered on public holidays. This means that anyone arriving the day before a holiday/Sunday should bring bread or rolls.

No goodwill, rude and unfriendly. I am curious if someone will counter with 5 stars right away.

So, I don’t know how people rate campsites, but sorry folks, how do you come up with your evaluations?!? What sites have you been to so far, what is particularly special besides the area that has nothing to do with the site... NOTHING, there is nothing there? However, if you like children's noise, you are in the right place as the playground is really well located centrally. You search in vain for peace, and then the prices, what are such prices called for? Also the restaurant (yes, there is always smiling everywhere, but you can interpret that however you want ;-) .......) 2x schnitzel with fries 33 euros, of which once there were only fries available and I had to pick up my schnitzel again because it was forgotten, no sorry or anything.... Yes, it's delicious cold 🍟 and lukewarm schnitzel. And when I then hear that our neighbors came without a reservation and only pay half price, they always do that, yes then I feel a bit cheated. However, the crown is put on when you get sick, as my brother was taken to the hospital and operated on, and actually could confirm all of this with a hospital report, you are charged 83 euros for cancellation costs without anyone understanding that you are just getting ripped off, no one can and must understand that 83 euros for sending 2 emails RESPECT!!!! Once and never again.
