Camping Hautoreille

Beautifully located, but very remote campsite; nearest settlement with shops and a petrol station is about 7 km away. Bread available upon order, simple restaurant on site. Generous pitches. A small, newly renovated and heated sanitary block at the entrance, a larger sanitary block on the grounds that could use modernization. In September 2024, it was cold in the larger block. The barrier system with self-service check-in is practical for late arrivals but takes some getting used to. Very inconvenient: you have to get out each time to enter and exit in order to enter the barrier code.

Absolutely quiet, lovingly furnished campsite. The sanitary facilities are clean and spacious. The baguette was very tasty.

We regularly use the site next to the highway as an overnight stop on our way to Spain. It is conveniently accessible and is very quiet and idyllic. A restaurant is available on site and croissants and baguettes for breakfast are no problem. The beautiful location and surroundings definitely invite for an extension of the stay for a day or two.

We used this place again for a stop on the return trip from Spain. It is a bit off the highway, but you can cut the corner of the A31 over it, so in fact there is no detour. In the entrance area, there are well-maintained parking spaces for overnight stays (check if the 230V cable brought along is long enough :-). Small, heated sanitary facilities there; nothing else. The review only refers to what was encountered in February (nothing more required).
