The location right by the river is unique, but unfortunately the Weser cycle path runs right through the site. On sunny, warm days, the traffic volume is very high, and several cyclists rush by your pitch at high speed. Speaking of pitches: they are very small, about 40 - 50 square meters. Those arriving with a caravan must park their car on the pitch, which usually narrows the cycle path even more, much to the displeasure of the cyclists. The sanitary facilities are excellent, and the entire processing (site fee, electricity...) is done electronically, but the user guidance is lacking - very complicated! And regarding electricity: I know what my camper generally needs. However, here the meter easily shows double that. Be careful!

This campsite is beautifully situated directly on the Weser. The pitches right behind the tent meadow at the river offer of course the most beautiful view. The Weser Cycle Path runs right through the campsite. This is both a blessing and a curse. Great, as it is a perfect starting point for bike tours to the attractive surrounding cities. However, we were disturbed by the inconsiderateness of some (unfortunately not so few) cyclists. Although there is a sign at the entrance of the campsite asking to drive slowly, this is often unfortunately not followed, and as a pedestrian, you run the risk of being run over. Aside from that, the sanitary facilities are very nice and very clean, there is a bread roll service on the site, and thanks to the check-in and check-out at the machine, arrival and departure are possible at any time. On Sundays, even late departure until 4 PM without extra charge.

Spent a weekend here, a very nice place with clean sanitary facilities. Campsites are separated by small hedges. Ideal for bike tours along the Weser. Bückeburg and Hamelin are very nice, worth-seeing towns, quickly accessible and highly recommended for a day trip! We'll definitely come back!

We were here for a few days over Easter and had a pleasant time. Everything is very modern and super clean. The waste station and the dishwashing area are also well organized and clean. The pitches are sufficiently large to fit a caravan with an awning and a car. As dog owners, we appreciated the good hiking trails. Overall, it is also very quiet. For families with children, the recreational offerings might become quickly boring. The water taps sometimes lead to an unwanted foot shower, which could be improved. Additionally, we would wish for a notice about the drainage plugs that can only be borrowed in the dishwashing area, and a trash can along the Weser cycle path (south side) might encourage some dog owners to dispose of their pets' waste. Nevertheless, we felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back.

Clean, new, beautiful campsite that also offers tranquility beyond the Weserradweg that runs directly through the campsite. Unfortunately, there are sometimes inconsiderate individual cyclists and even whole groups of cyclists who lack consideration for pedestrians, children, and dogs when they ride over the Weser hiking trail and through the campsite. The associated ferry house in Bavarian style is highly recommended (great dishes, very nice service, reasonable prices)

The camping and motorhome site Grohnder Fährhaus is located directly on the Weser between Hameln and Bodenwerder on the famous Weser Cycle Path. We were lucky and managed to secure a very nice motorhome pitch right by the Weser without prior booking on a Thursday in July. The modern sanitary building is very clean and well-maintained. There is a daily bread service available upon request, as well as the option to participate in a very delicious and diverse breakfast buffet at the adjacent hotel. There is a Bavarian inn on site, a beer garden, and a beach club that operates on summer weekends. Many sports and recreational opportunities are located on the large meadow. From the beach chair, you can watch the Weser ferry and relax or take a canoe trip. Wi-Fi is free and works great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and even our little dog was received warmly without any extra fee. We really enjoyed it! We will be coming back!

The booked spot with Weser view met our expectations. The view and location on the bike path and Weser are ideal. The parking spaces are well-maintained and clean. The only minor drawback was anchoring tent pegs in the mineral mixture. Supply and disposal are good and clean. The washroom with shower and sanitary facilities is consistently clean and exemplary!!! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. We are already looking forward to our next stay next year.
