Camping Glanllyn Lakeside

The campsite has a wonderful location right at the mouth of the River Llafar into Lake Tegid. You have direct access to a shingle beach that is about 120 metres long and up to 30 metres wide. Perfect for jumping straight into the cool water or launching your kayak!

You can expect a partly flat, partly undulating or gently sloping grassy terrain bordered by beautiful flowers and shrubs. The pitches are spacious and pleasantly spaced out with medium-height trees. Hedges and trees screen the site comfortably from the road.

Since you are on an idyllic grassy site right by the lake and river, you should pack sturdy pegs for your tent or awning. A vegetated embankment along the river protects against the wind. Since it can get damp in Wales, waterproof groundsheets for your awning are worth their weight in gold.

Since the site is currently not bookable directly online via PiNCAMP, you cannot view the exact prices directly. However, here are the most important cost factors you can expect:

• Pitch fee for your car with caravan, motorhome or tent.
• Electricity connection (16-amp sockets are available).
• Wi-Fi can be used across the entire campsite.
• Dogs are very welcome on the site.
• Additional costs for washing machines and tumble dryers on site.

Arrival is straightforward as the site is easily accessible. The nearest town centre of Bala is only about 4 kilometres away. If you are travelling without a car, there is a public transport stop just 200 metres away. English is spoken at the reception.

For the perfect start to the day, the site has a practical bread roll service. A small grocery store for daily needs is also available. For larger shopping trips, restaurants, snack bars or a supermarket, simply drive to Bala, which is 5 kilometres away.

The site is a real paradise for paddlers, anglers and active families. Thanks to the campsite's own boat slipway, you can easily launch your boat or kayak. There is a great playground for the kids, and anglers can try their luck directly on Lake Tegid.
