LandGut Girtenmühle

Very nice place, we especially found the fire pit for rent brilliant. Furthermore, super nice owners and staff. Unfortunately, the sanitary building is currently still a construction site, but that should be started soon, which makes up for the rest of the place.

The Girtenmühle estate is located in the middle of nature by a stream. For children, a real paradise. The place is not divided into plots, you can choose your spot freely. The sanitary facilities are simple but clean. Unfortunately, it becomes muddy in the rain, which is also visible in the sanitary facilities. The operators are very nice and always helpful. There is a bar with organic food and drinks. The selection of food is small, but you are allowed to consume your own food or orders on the terrace. There is a bread roll service (orders possible until 9:00 PM) in the morning. No cars (except roof tents, vans, campers, caravans) are allowed on the site itself, which is great for kids. In addition, there is a small room with foosball, billiards, and board games. There are musical offerings on the terrace on Fridays and Saturdays. From the site, you can immediately head into the forest for fantastic hikes. If you're looking for a proper getaway, away from the classic campsites, this is the right place. There are also some rental accommodations, for that you should check the website.

The site is picturesque. Beautifully situated, and the starry sky at night is unique. A lot of thought has been put into many aspects, and it has been well implemented. For example, you can order extra items or drinks using your own number. The access is a bit hilly and narrow but manageable. The welcome from the owner was warm, but I would have liked more information. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi is only available in front of the reception and not on the site. The bar is always well attended and looks cozy. There are snacks and drinks available there. You can choose your spot freely, which has its advantages and disadvantages. The absolute downside is the sanitary facilities. When washing dishes, you can look directly at the urinal and also hear unpleasant noises. There are too few showers, and unfortunately, they are also in a dilapidated state. There is mold in every corner and no trace of cleanliness. Dust, rust, and insect remnants are abundant. Even though they are cleaned daily, they are in this condition. It's not only disgusting but also health hazardous. I don't understand how this can be rated with 5 stars. There are also no facilities for drying hands. It is very unfortunate, as there seems to be a lot of commitment from the operators, but this is unacceptable, especially given the high number of children on the site. I hope this is resolved quickly.

We were there for 3 nights. The place is very nicely located; however, there are no designated spots, everyone sets up wherever they want; this takes some getting used to and can be a bit cramped at times. The sanitary facilities are clear, but sometimes a bit overloaded. Great bar. Overall, a beautiful and very quiet place.

By chance, we discovered the campsite. We have never had it this quiet. We had a very nice spot right by the stream. The bread roll service was perfect. Young people who run this campsite, and we wish them much success with their plans. We would love to come back.

A place that (almost) fulfills all dreams. Very nice, young people! You have your peace and can camp according to your own wishes: no groundskeeper, no plots. Even campfires are possible at the site. Fresh rolls in the morning, delicious homemade cake during the day. Unfortunately, there is no bistro or snacks at the site, but you can have great food delivered by a delivery service. We have been here several times before and will definitely come back!

Very nice campsite, I used to go there often as a child during summer vacation and I thought it was great even back then....I love camping and have also gotten my husband and my son into it. This year we are coming back.
