We camped in the 3rd week of September at Camping Gamp/lower pitches with a caravan, 2 people. Since the pitches are far away from the main site, we were not particularly surprised by the non-functioning WiFi. The fact that the toilets, showers, and other infrastructure can only be reached via a challenging staircase and subsequent long hike is also just a fact to take note of. That the pitches are extremely small and the noise from the road and the railway disrupts the night’s rest is also something to consider. The sum of all these inconveniences led me to ask the campsite management about the price/quality (E 61.80 per day). The response was more than evasive and completely unsatisfactory. This campsite will never see us again! Martin+Marlies

Everything is nice and friendly. Completely new entrance area, great new infinity pool. The sanitary facilities are a bit older but always clean at any time of the day. Small shop with items for daily needs as well as rolls in the morning. The spots are clean and sufficiently large. You can easily walk to Klausen, and by bike, you can ride nicely along the river to Bolzano or Brixen. The only tiny downside: there’s no guest card. We still like to come back!

The site is well-maintained and clean, the plots are relatively flat and easily accessible. The staff is very friendly. There is a tiny shop for essentials, offering local products. Fresh rolls and croissants are available in the morning between 8 and 10 o'clock. The location directly under the highway viaduct is much quieter than one would think and not really disturbing. The nearby railway line is not heavily trafficked and hardly affects the peace of the night. The center of Klausen can be reached in 5-10 minutes on foot. Klausen is a pretty place with good restaurants and nice cafes, as well as shopping opportunities. What I particularly like about the campsite is the logistically perfect location right by the highway and at the entrance to the Gröden Valley. You can quickly reach Bolzano, Brixen, St. Ulrich, and Wolkenstein or go to Seis am Schlern with access to the Alpe di Siusi. Highly recommendable site, for both travelers passing through and for an active vacation.

The campsite has beautifully maintained plots and is very clean. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and always open to a conversation. Very nice and clean washrooms. The pool area invites you to relax and cool off. Only the location between two streets was very noisy on some nights.

We stayed at this campsite for one night. It is not cheap, but it is very well-maintained and clean. It is beautifully small and everyone was very friendly. There is a small playground and a few animals (we saw ducks and a goat). The small pool is not heated. The proximity to the old town in Klausen is nice, it's a 5-minute walk. We can recommend the site for a stopover. You can actually not hear the highway at all despite the proximity, but you can hear the trains.

We were here from 21.05.23 to 28.05.2023. Great location with fantastic opportunities for all senses. High mountains - Old Town in Klausen - Brixen and much more. Very well maintained and clean / competent and very friendly operators.. The location by the highway - which highway? 😄 Very quiet - simply beautiful. We will definitely come back and can only recommend the site. Walter and Heike Knapp.

Between Bolzano and Bressanone in the picturesque Isarco Valley, Ansitz Gamp in Chiusa invites you to enjoy a varied holiday in the fresh air. With a large playground and a petting zoo, the campsite has plenty to offer families in particular. The well-maintained outdoor pool is also sure to delight. In winter, the free ski bus takes active holidaymakers from the campsite to the nearby ski areas of Gitschberg-Jochtal or Val Gardena/Gröden.
Ansitz Gamp is located in the romantic town of Klausen in the Eisack Valley. The pitches with an area of up to 105 m² are equipped with fresh and waste water, satellite TV and electricity connections. WLAN with fibre optic connection is free of charge for all guests. Fresh bread rolls from the bakery, drinks and South Tyrolean specialities are available daily in the mini market. A culinary insider tip in Klausen, which is one of the most beautiful old towns in Italy, are the typical Törggele evenings in autumn, where young wine and roasted chestnuts are served. There is always a friendly atmosphere at Ansitz Gamp itself. Children are just as welcome as dogs.
In the well-tended garden of Ansitz Gamp, the youngest guests quickly make new friends in the playground. A slide, a swing and a sandpit invite them to let off steam. In the summer months, the petting zoo is a popular meeting place. Cuddly goats can be stroked and fed. Guests can also spend fun-filled hours playing table tennis. Afterwards, families and sports enthusiasts can cool off in the outdoor pool. Here they can swim their lengths with a marvellous view of the Säben monastery, a former bishop's residence.
The Valle Isarco/Eisacktal chestnut hiking trail, known as the Keschtnweg, leads over a distance of 63 kilometres through chestnut forests from Neustift to Runkelstein Castle near Bolzano/Bozen. From Klausen, you can take the 15 km tour to Brixen. Passing vineyards and lush meadows, the route first takes you to Feldthurns and the romantic pond near Tötschling. From Brixen, the bus takes you back to Klausen. Those who enjoy cycling can take advantage of the well-developed network of paths. For example, the 42 km long Eisack Valley cycle path from Brixen to Bozen runs through the holiday region.
