It was wonderful! I was at Camping Gäsi for the second time. It is an authentic, natural, original campsite, amidst old trees. Despite the preserved nature, there are modern shower and toilet facilities. The soul of the place are two ladies, Renate and Marion, and their team. They receive the guests with a warmth that is unmatched. It is a campsite for anyone who wants to experience camping close to nature. I can only give 5 out of 5 stars or 10 out of 10 points. A campfire in a fire pit rounds off the camping feeling. Cooking on a grill is also possible: I hope to meet Renate, Marion, and their team again next year. Best regards, Birgit

We were very kindly welcomed by the groundsman at the campsite. The campsite is right by Lake Walen and has a (public) beach. Due to the adjacent railway line and the nearby highway, it is a bit noisy. The campsite was a good starting point for biking trips and walks. Our pitch (unparceled) was under large trees, providing nice shade. The majority of the spots are occupied by permanent campers. The toilets were clean and well-maintained, toilet paper and soap were provided. The space for doing the dishes was also well cleaned. The showers were also clean, and the preset duration of three minutes for the running water is enough; otherwise, you have to wait a bit before you can shower for another three minutes. Unfortunately, the path at the campsite was not lit, so you should not forget your flashlight here. The food at the restaurant belonging to the campsite was tasty, and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. In the restaurant in the morning, you could also pick up the rolls ordered for breakfast the night before. Upon departure, we were bid farewell kindly. We felt very comfortable at this simple campsite and can recommend it.

We were warmly welcomed by the groundskeeper. The campground is spacious and completely in greenery. Certainly, every pitch is shady. There are no designated parcels. Mainly, there are permanent campers at the site. The adjoining shore by the campground is publicly accessible as a bathing beach. The toilets were clean despite the many guests, and paper and soap were available at all times. The showers were also clean, and the 3 minutes that the water runs is completely sufficient (after a waiting time, you can shower for the next 3 minutes). The paths to the washhouses were unfortunately unlit. Since the campground is located right next to a railway line and the highway, there is a corresponding noise level. The campground is an ideal starting point for cycling tours. There is a restaurant at the campground. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, and we also enjoyed the food. The rolls for breakfast can be ordered the evening before and then picked up in the morning at the restaurant. A nice, simple campground with very friendly, warm staff.
