Camping Flåm

Sanitary facilities are in order and clean. Otherwise, there is a two-class society. The biggest motorhomes have the quietest spots. Campers and van drivers get a spot on the campsite right next to the entrance to the Flämbahn. A beer in a plastic cup costs 9 euros.

Great campsite right in Flåm. The pitches are nice with a view of the valley and the staff is very friendly. Showers and washing machine are clean. There is also a service point for motorhomes and you can't complain.

Very friendly and clean! Genius view with the fjord and mountain walls all around, which everyone can observe perfectly from their pitch because the campsite has a single-row terraced structure that allows everyone to look over the front row. Moreover, the terraces are very level. Particularly beautiful is the campsite behind the reception. There are many fruit trees in the area that form a canopy and protect from too much sun. Since the floating hotel giants have their terminus/stop in Flåm, there are many shops and restaurants at the harbor that cater to tourists. The taco stand by the reception is very good and made with a lot of love. However, one should plan for 2-3 to get full. At the harbor, there is also a train station where many ship tourists transfer, and the trains honk so loudly when they leave that it was really annoying, as the 1-second honk echoed for 10 seconds. The road above the campsite was mid-range in terms of noise level.

Very beautiful site, terraced in the valley by the Flambahn. Suitable for hiking and excursions. Sanitary area is acceptable, the site is lovingly maintained.

Good location, in immediate proximity to the harbor and train station of Flåm. A good starting point for the Flåmsbana and boat trips to the Nærøyfjord or hikes (e.g. Brekkefossen). The old town of Flåm is about 1.5 kilometers away. Also suitable for excursions to Stegastein (info available at the harbor of Flåm). The first train early in the morning at half past seven does wake you up, as it always honks. When fully booked, the sanitary facilities are somewhat limited, especially the water pressure suffers. The distance to the neighbor is also relatively small.

Close to the Flambahn. The fjord is a short walk away.

We have been there 2 times in 2016 and 2017. We are definitely going back this year.
