Nice reception - great place with the highlight of the sanitary facilities. Showers included. Smaller facility, but still two wash houses! The friendly site caretaker rakes (!!) the site after departure. Definitely go eat at 'Zum Hirschen': rustic with great cuisine and atmosphere. Rolls are delivered daily with a baker's cart. Pre-ordering via WhatsApp possible or also purchase at the cart. We would choose this place and the surrounding area again!!

Good campground, but a later arrival would be nice.

The campground is well-maintained and is beautifully located right by the forest. Since we rarely stay longer than one night, a later arrival than 6 PM would be desirable.

Are still here currently Super well-maintained site, very clean wash houses. It's not always the cleaning staff's fault for dirty toilets and such. There are enough pigs among the campers. Whoever writes something negative about this site should turn around when using the toilet and clean up.

We were there for a week with child and dog. You can reach Fichtelsee directly via a natural path, where you can walk well with child and dog. The site is well-kept and the sanitary facilities are regularly cleaned and very clean. The reception is also well organized. We will definitely go back there again.

Nice reception. Friendly staff. Clean and well-maintained sanitary facilities. A highlight is the heated shower for dogs. Extensive hiking area starting from the campsite. Good restaurants nearby. We only wanted to stop for one night on our way but spontaneously extended our stay by 2 nights. The site is definitely worth a visit.

Relaxed Winter Holiday
Very good8

Anyone looking for a simple campsite as a central starting point for winter or even summer excursions will certainly find it a good place here. Sanitary facilities are absolutely fine, the baker comes early with the car and brings the pre-ordered goods, all at fair prices. We will definitely come back soon for an extended weekend.

Campsite with a family-friendly atmosphere and close to nature
The cosy campsite covers an area of around two hectares and offers 120, mostly parcelled-out pitches for holidaymakers. With pitches ranging in size from 80-150 square metres, you can enjoy maximum space and privacy. Most pitches have electricity, some also have a TV connection. The site is extensively covered with WLAN, which guests can use as an option. Fresh pastries are delivered every morning by the local bakery. There are also six restaurants within a ten-minute walk. At an altitude of over 800 metres, Camping Fichtelsee is Northern Bavaria's highest campsite. Especially in summer, the lake invites you to linger on the sunbathing lawns. The facilities for families with children range from a toddler area and water trampoline to a volleyball court and a slide. Children can also let off steam in the playground. The area around the campsite is particularly popular with hikers. The Fichtelgebirge Nature Park has many hiking routes to the Ochsenkopf or the Felsenmeer with wonderful views of the highest mountains in Franconia. In winter, the region is ideal for a ski tour. Bayreuth, just 30 kilometres away, has plenty to offer culture vultures, e.g. the historic festival theatre or the Hermitage.
