Very beautiful nature-oriented campsite. The spots sometimes seem a bit chaotic and disorganized, but the location directly by the Isar is great! There is also a climbing park right at the campsite and the food in the on-site restaurant is very delicious! Just be sure to pay attention to the reception's opening hours!

The campsite is idyllically located in the midst of nature (many trees, but still sun - depending on the pitch), one can more or less set up wherever one likes. The panorama of the Karwendel massif is fantastic, especially from the self-service restaurant at the entrance of the site. You can eat small dishes there (from curry sausage to schnitzel to sausage salad), the food tastes good. The pitches directly on the Isar are without electricity and lighting at night and are only for the "real campers." Since there are no proper pitches here and access is partly via steep, not necessarily perfect gravel paths, these are not suitable for caravans. Caravans should be more in the upper pitches. The sanitary facilities are relatively new, showers and toilets are available in sufficient numbers and, overall, are also relatively clean. But it is, after all, a campsite in nature, so one should expect some dirt throughout the day (especially on the ground). The operators of the campsite are helpful and friendly. Generally, the site is very central, within a few minutes you are in Mittenwald or Krün, and in about 20 minutes you can reach Garmisch or Lake Walchen. A bike path runs directly past the site, allowing you to start tours from there. If you are looking for luxury camping, you are definitely in the wrong place, but if you like being close to nature, you are absolutely right!
