beautiful and inexpensive site

in the front, permanent campers and rental huts (also used by school classes) - in the back, free pitches, generously laid out, shady but bright (deciduous trees), electricity with 6 A CEE included, pool, restaurant (very cheap and delicious) and a very small shop (but fair prices and a great all-around selection - the lady even made us sandwiches), showers with coin-operated system (but was bridged = free showers), sufficient and clean. Parking lot and camper service across from the site. Very inexpensive = we paid less than 20 Euros in the off-season with a discount through the PinCamp app. Bicycle path from the site - ideal for cycling to, for example, VIAREGGIO, LUCCA, and PISA, which are also very close and reachable by public transport. Disadvantage: over 1 km walk to the (huge fine sandy) beach (but there seems to be a shuttle in high season and you could also take a longer drive by car - there is indeed a mile further back with bars and parking spaces).

One week here and everything fit: Friendly staff Very clean sanitary facilities (cleaned multiple times a day) Very delicious dishes in the restaurant at affordable prices (2 people including one drink each 20-30 €) A slight disadvantage is in the showers: there are hooks inside but the fresh clothes sometimes get wet. The path to the beach through the pine forest is just under 1,700m. All in all, a nice quiet campsite that I would like to visit again 😀

One of the worst campsites I have ever seen...

Outdated facility as well as old and dirty sanitary facilities. The path to the beach is relatively long and unfortunately marked by garbage on the side of the road. For all this, way too expensive...

Well-equipped campsite with spacious pitches
Very good8

Well-equipped campsite with spacious pitches. Electricity and Wi-Fi included, but the Wi-Fi mostly didn't work. Friendly staff, shuttle to the beach, and a good little supermarket. However, what bothered us was the adjacent road, as it was really loud at night, so if you're camping with a tent, you should consider whether it's too noisy.

Recommendation with Dog

The first impression, passing by permanent campers with barracks charm and sanitary facilities from the 70s, is not very inviting. Nevertheless, we would come back: idyllic path to the natural beach (about 20 min) - ideal for travelers with dogs - very friendly staff and relaxed, quiet atmosphere on the campsite. Recommended for a short vacation at Easter.

Simple but very well-kept site

We have been here very often because the location is very good and everything is well-maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a pool, a small fine grocery store with a very good selection and great quality, and a recommendable restaurant plus bar. There are shady and sunny parcels of different sizes. The path to the beach is a bit long, but the fantastic (free) natural beach makes up for it. The sanitary facilities are simple but super clean. The site is family-friendly, but the clientele is very mixed. At night it is usually pleasantly quiet. What more could you want?

Positives were: The cleanliness and the nice, funny rabbits hopping across the area. Also the restaurant and the shuttle service to the beautiful beach. Negatives were: We had to pay the total amount for the planned stay upon arrival. This was also understandable since our pitch was next to a very loud, heavily trafficked road. If we hadn't already paid, we would have driven on. Furthermore, we did not receive an ADAC discount, although our neighbors did. During the hectic check-in and immediate payment, we were also not informed that paying in cash would get us a discount of 2€ per day. All in all, we were cheated out of about 100€.

More info about Camping Europa
Camping Europa in Torre del Lago Puccini offers bathing fun and birdwatching in a nature reserve. The campsite is located close to the Lago di Massaciuccoli lake and not far from the wide sandy beaches of the Tuscan Mediterranean coast.
Romantic camping for water sports enthusiasts and opera fans
Camping Europa is located just one kilometre away from Torre del Lago Puccini on the Versilia coast. The small town is not only located on the Mediterranean coast above Pisa, but also on the natural idyll of Lago di Massaciuccoli. A crenellated tower rises up on its shore, which ultimately gave the town its name. The main attraction, however, is the bungalow-villa of the world-famous opera composer Giacomo Puccini. In summer, opera festivals are held here on an open-air stage. Camping Europa has 165 pitches on a six-hectare site dominated by rows of trees. Dogs are allowed. Not only is the campsite open from April to October, but there is also a supermarket, a snack bar and a restaurant. The child-friendly campsite has an outdoor pool with a whirlpool, a paddling pool and children's entertainment. Popular excursions for visitors include a boat trip on the Lago di Massaciuccoli to observe rare wild birds or a day of swimming on the Mediterranean beach. A shuttle bus takes guests from the campsite to the most beautiful parts of the beach. There is a bus stop 250 metres away. From here you can travel to Pisa, for example, to the legendary Piazza dei Miracoli with its famous Leaning Tower.
