We had a short vacation with a camper van booked from 03.09.2023 to 12.03 on Grav Island. The site was very clean in all respects, be it the toilets, showers, simply the entire site. The staff were, without exception, all very friendly and helpful. Firstly, the toilet facilities (there were two) were very far away from most of the pitches (from our pitch about 800 steps to the left, only toilets, also to the right, where the showers were located). It was only accessible via filled paths secured with lawn grid stones. It was stated on the internet that there was free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, a snack bar, a bakery, and a supermarket, which is true except for the Wi-Fi. The "restaurant" was only sporadically open, the snack bar was closed, and the market/bakery was on the distant back of the building. Free Wi-Fi did not work. To reach the toilets/showers, there is a very steep ramp for disabled access. For the power connection box assigned to us, we needed over 50 m of cable, although to a different one it would have only been about 15 m. Also, the midday rest was not respected; work was being done on the charlets (grinding, hammering, etc.). We had to end our short vacation after 4 days due to personal reasons at home. When we addressed the reception about this, they expressed regret, but no remainder money could be paid out, there might be a possibility of a voucher, valid only until 31.10.2023. However, since I have no opportunity to use it before the expiration date, I said I would then give it away. We have been back home for a week and have not heard anything from the "ladies/gentlemen", as promised. I do not know this kind of business practices from any other campsite and am very disappointed with the handling. I had imagined my birthday on Grav Island differently!! My rating: -* (less than one star)

Super campsite and very very nice staff. The reception alone could use better computer systems 😂 Very dog-friendly. We will go camping there more often.

Great location with plenty of nature in the Rhine meadows. The site is currently not overcrowded in the middle of the week. Central sanitation facilities with described limitations. Attentive and friendly staff. The Wi-Fi is free and does not work at any time and nowhere in the day camper area. It is obviously of no concern to the operators. You only get from the half-informed staff the suggestion that the router would work and that you should just try more often. Considering the size of the site and the price, it feels more like a relic from a bygone era. There is still a lot to improve...

I had temporarily searched for a campsite in the Lower Rhine for 3 overnight stays. I found the Gravinsel by phone. Reservations - even for same-day arrivals - are not possible. Just come by, and we'll find something. That was true. Then came the kicker. I - 1 person in a campervan - paid 40!!! (in words forty) euros PER NIGHT. So 120 euros for one person over 3 overnight stays. However, including electricity and showers. Showers are only available in the morning from 8 AM to 12 PM. In the evening from 5 PM to 8 PM. Outside of these times, nothing works. Showers are simply locked. With over 30 degrees, showering before going to bed is therefore not possible. A joke. Showers only on one side of the room with normal water pressure. The other side is a trickle. Cleanliness, however, is good. WLAN is advertised as available on-site and on the internet. It didn't work. When asked, I was told: it didn't work with the first company. It didn't work with the second company either. No idea when WLAN will be available. Food at the snack bar was okay but also a bit above the price average. The grass area is somewhat clean. Spots are very small. Positively mentioned is the REWE market, which can easily compete with some large markets. The bakery is excellent and has a very good price-performance ratio. For the astronomical price alone, this place will not see me again. This is simply a rip-off. The price is unjustifiable.

Utopian prices for the session. Beware, no day spots left; you can save yourself the longer travels. Grab Island is not worth the trip.

Rather a small town, Germany's largest campsite with its own supermarket, restaurant, and numerous events that attract many day visitors. Despite the large area for tourist campers, we felt comfortable. The facilities were clean, and the staff was friendly.
