Camping du Garlaban

The location of the campsite in a light pine forest is very idyllic. Nice staff, well-functioning roll service, beautifully landscaped pool, and free bus transport to the city are the main advantages of this campsite. The sanitary building, however, is a disgrace, dirt everywhere you look, floor, walls, ceiling. Toilets and showers are dilapidated; nothing has been invested here for decades. Very unfortunate actually. Moreover, there is no possibility for the disposal of dirty water and camper toilets.

A nice campsite in a great location that feels very cozy. Nice and helpful staff. Nice little pool just right for a little refreshment. The sanitary facilities are old but okay, and the cleanliness is also acceptable. There could be more toilets. Absolute no-go: it is not possible to drain grey water, and the chemical toilet cannot be emptied on site. You have to drive about 9 km to empty it in a neighboring town. That is the only reason for the poor rating.

Superb camping site with nice staff, who speak German in addition to French and English. The campsite itself is beautifully laid out and in the Free Camp, where we had booked our spot, there was more than enough space. It makes sense to book in advance, as on many days, the site was already fully booked. Fortunately, we could still stay one more night spontaneously. The biggest plus, which only became clear to us on site upon request, is that a spot in the Free Camp is designed for up to five people - at no extra charge.

We spontaneously camped for two nights on the site with our own tent. The reservation went smoothly. The site is very spacious and located in greenery. You are not packed closely together. The bar/pool area is very nice. You can order breakfast the day before with croissant/pain au chocolat, baguette, jam, orange juice, and a hot drink for €6 - very tasty. We were super satisfied!
