Camping du Barrage Rosport

A beautiful location. We had a pitch right by the Sauer. Of course, you can hear the cars, but I was able to tune it out. In the evening, it became less noticeable anyway. There's no direct path to the sanitary facilities, which means you have to take a long roundabout route. The sanitation is clean and sufficiently available, but the toilets have a significant downside as there are no holders for toilet paper. The rolls are placed on a shelf and everyone has to pick them up first. There is no disposal for hygiene products in the toilet cabins. There are bike paths and hiking trails directly nearby.

A campsite with a nice swimming pool, restroom/shower facilities, and a restaurant. It's a decent campsite for a few days, but if you stay longer, some improvements are needed. 1; Warm water in the restroom building is cold nine out of ten times. 2; The cleaning of the restroom building happens once a day. That's not enough for such a large campsite. Furthermore, everything was wet during the cleaning, but clean is a different story. 3; For the Wi-Fi: if you want to read a newspaper, you'll need the whole day. (The comment you get is that you don’t pay for it?) So I won’t use it either. 4; To get from the water to the restrooms, you have to walk all the way around. Lots of people then cut through everywhere. (This says something about the people but also reflects a flaw in the campsite.) Especially the last two spots suffered a lot from this. A pity for such a campsite.

The delivery of rolls was simply stopped so that after the setup one had to go shopping first. Motorhomes are placed between caravans even though new sites for motorhomes are available.

We were there over Pentecost 23. It is a very beautiful and all very clean place! We missed the small detail of having a shelf in the shower. The site is wonderfully beautiful and peacefully located by the Sauer.

Grill air in the evening, friendly and idyllic during the day. Small pool for the little ones and river for the big ones … short distances for explorations or shopping 🏤 Anytime again

Very idyllic camping site located by the border river Sauer. Very suitable for swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddling. Street hardly audible. Sanitary facilities top notch. Few shopping options at the site itself - however, supermarket reachable by car. Highly recommended!

The site is located right by the border river to Germany and offers some jetties. The site itself is clean and well maintained, there is a very good playground next door, among other things with water games, which, however, does not belong to the site. Otherwise, the site is very public. Between the pitches and the river, there is a publicly used foot/bike path, so there is relatively a lot of activity. Additionally, there is a small football stadium right on the site. Overall, we still enjoyed it; unfortunately, the road on the German side is heavily trafficked, even by trucks at all hours. This bothered us a lot, but we also slept in a roof tent, where noises come in quite unbuffered. The swimming pool was being modernized during our stay and was not accessible.

Very nicely situated camping along the border river Sauer, which is very suitable for canoeing and stand-up paddling, as well as perfect connection to the Sauertal cycle path and good connection to the Mosel cycle path.
