Camping Don Quijote

Well equipped, good sanitary facilities, good waste disposal for motorhomes. Super restaurant

The beautiful place Don Quijota is quietly located in a park-like area. The infrastructure here is also somewhat in need of renovation, but pragmatically acceptable. The reception is warm. The absolute highlight of the establishment is the restaurant! The service from a "slim young" man is somewhat arrogant, but the waitress is fully engaged with heart and soul. She enjoys her job and emotionally conveys that to the guests. The food (11/3/23) was a fantastic highlight: The wonderfully prepared (9) scallops were superb. The beef fillet was cooked to medium rare and of top quality, as were the crispy patatas fritas. The dessert creations were "Michelin-star worthy", creative, and of first-class taste. The reasonably priced wine selection is put together by someone who truly understands this topic well. Regarding the ambiance, it could be a bit cozier (not so bright lighting). Conclusion: The place is lovely, not a luxury spot, but everything necessary is available, including a minimarket. The restaurant, with this fantastic cuisine, is absolute class. The campsite is ideal for visiting the beautiful city of Salamanca. From the site, a bike path leads directly into the city center, which is about 6 km away. The site itself is nicely divided into pitches, which are sufficiently large and, above all, flat. The sanitary facilities are in very good condition. The service and disposal for the motorhome is very easy to do. A big plus of the campsite is especially the nice people at the reception. The restaurant is said to be great, but we did not use it. The site is highly recommended.

The site is well located for a visit to Salamanca. There is a bike path that goes directly from the campsite along the river, about 6 km. As for the site itself, it has nice large pitches; at the back of the lawn, there is no division and also no electricity. We did not use the sanitary facilities, so we cannot give a rating. The restaurant is highly recommended.

Sanitary facilities are brand new with a baby changing room and baby bathtub. Spacious and shady lots. Great pool with a sunbathing area. We were positively surprised.
