Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. We had booked the campsite for a relaxing vacation, but we left early. The pitch was very cramped and not divided. Additionally, the terrain slopes steeply down to the lake (about 1.5 m), with no visible fall protection. This was not apparent from the description prior to booking. The offered Wi-Fi did not work during our stay, even though it was charged separately. The sanitary facilities were also repeatedly in a condition that, in our view, did not meet the expected standard. Several other guests we spoke with on-site had similar experiences and also left early. After our departure, there was a lengthy dispute over the billing, which was only resolved after the involvement of a lawyer through a settlement.

Overall a very beautiful, well-maintained place, definitely a ‘top recommendation’ in summer! We were there with the motorhome over New Year’s and it wasn’t quite optimal because: The reception was not staffed, and the operators were also not easily reachable by phone. When they were reachable, they were very friendly and helpful - Thank you for that! The bus connection is poor, you can get away well in the morning after a short walk - in the evening, starting from around 5:00 PM, there is no more return! In summer, with bicycles, it’s no problem.

We had reserved for three days to ride stages of the King's Cycle Path. After having not slept a wink at night due to traffic on the nearby federal highway, we decided to continue on. Nevertheless, we had to pay the price for three days. One might ask - but in my opinion, it's not very customer-oriented. Electricity is billed according to the meter reading, WLAN costs 2 € per day. The sanitary facilities are okay. My conclusion: fine for a stopover, nothing for those seeking relaxation.

We were at the Demmelhof over Pentecost. The place has everything you need and offers plenty for the kids as well. The playground, the animals, or just the attractions near the campsite provide the right options for all campers. Unfortunately, there seem to be a few fake reviews, because there is no indoor pool or beach, but there are enough bathing facilities right by the lake. The dogs can also cool off at selected spots. Alpacas and ponies can be booked for walks for a small fee. Otherwise, one can only tip their hat at the way the family runs this beautiful campsite. So there is something for everyone, and there is always a listening ear for questions and problems. In short, we enjoyed our time here and will probably not be visiting the Demmelhof for the last time.😄🌠👍

As passionate anglers, we had a great time at this campsite. The fishing opportunities at the lake were fantastic, and our dogs also felt comfortable in the dog area.
