Camping del Salinello

The cleanliness and facilities of the sanitary facilities do not correspond to the stated values of the ADAC. The paths are hardly navigable due to root formations and they should urgently designate paths for larger motorhomes.

Since 2016, we have been yearly visitors to this campsite and unfortunately noticed that the service has degraded every year. Even upon entering with the motorhome, branches block the access to the pitch. The ground is extremely uneven, and the roots of the trees coming up through the ground make leveling much harder. The cleanliness in the sanitary areas also leaves much to be desired. In the corner, the same pile of sand lies untouched for days. The flushing in the toilets only works with luck. The private beach unfortunately does not offer enough space for all the guests of the campsite. When it rains, the campsite is under water as there is no proper drainage. The only positive thing we noticed was the evening entertainment for big and small. This is our last year at this campsite.

Check-in turned out to be a test of patience due to the large influx of guests arriving on Saturday. Because of the daily gate closure during the quiet hours from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, a long queue formed with arriving guests. At the reception, only the local language and English are spoken, although there was also a German-speaking employee present at times. The campsite consists of two-thirds mobile homes, and is not suited for caravan campers due to the narrow connection paths. The camping area is directly adjacent to a heavily trafficked railway line that runs day and night. One can choose between proximity to the amphitheater/sports field or the railway line. At the beach, one has difficulty finding a quiet spot that isn't disturbed by the loudspeaker-supported entertainment for guests. The gently sloping, extensive, and clean beach invites extensive walks. The provided beach loungers and umbrellas are reserved for guests of holiday homes. The WiFi internet connection is unstable, only working in three limited specific areas. For guests who booked full or half board, there is a restaurant with service available. Day guests have the option to use a self-service restaurant that is similar to a canteen. Due to the family-friendly setup of the campsite, the noise level in the dining room is correspondingly high. However, there is the option to use the pizza service in the service restaurant. Those seeking peace are in the wrong place. The sanitary facilities are sufficiently available and are regularly cleaned. However, the sanitary facilities have aged and are based on the simplest, impractical standards. For campers with caravans, tents, or motorhomes seeking tranquility, I cannot recommend the campsite.
