Camping de Saulieu

The campsite is very beautiful and located in a quiet area. The staff is super nice.

👍 The welcome from the managers and the staff was warm. The animations were great. The bartender was very welcoming. The hygiene team was always perfectly cheerful. 👎 The pool surface is uncomfortable to walk on; the pebbles come loose under our feet.

🤝 The environment with coniferous and deciduous trees is very relaxing. The pond is beautiful. But the highlight is the warm welcome from Tony, Romane, Louise, Angeline, Cloé, Bastien, and I’m forgetting some others. They are present and smiling from 8 AM to 11 PM. Congratulations on choosing such great staff. 👎 The sanitary facilities are worn out from the years. There are not enough toilets for the chalets. The doors and shutters of the chalets are worn and hard to close.

👍 Hello, What I particularly appreciate is that I've been coming here for a few years. I admit that this year I hesitated to book accommodation. When I saw that the managers were not the same, I thought: "Go for it, Ana!" I don't regret it because, apart from Angeline and Chloe, whom I already knew, the whole team is fantastic. The new managers are present, attentive, and take good care of the guests. The pool has been renovated, and the cleanliness of the restrooms and other facilities is impeccable. There are activities for both kids and adults, and the snack bar offers both sweet and savory options. 👎 The surface around the pool, with the little pebbles, is uncomfortable for the feet and ends up in the water. A heated pool would be a plus, as it is not suitable for aqua gym classes. The mini-golf course needs renovation since it's a bit outdated. The children's playground also needs to be updated.

👍 Camping is quiet and pleasant. Location/Rental accommodation: large pitches with plenty of sun and the possibility of abundant shade. 👎 No change options for the game room. Location/Rental accommodation: people have to cross others' pitches to reach the sanitary facilities.

🤝 A pleasant stay in a relaxing region. Location/Rental accommodation: Functional, airy, comfortable. 👎 The welcome drink did not take place. The aquagym class was canceled. It was not possible to use the foosball; it was blocked! Location/Rental accommodation: On the roof, we had a relay antenna that seemed to disturb my sleep. It should be placed somewhere other than directly on the roof of a chalet!

👍 Saulieu is a charming and welcoming small town. We particularly recommend its associative cinema l’étoile, a beautifully converted former convent. The surroundings are rich in nature and culture. The museum of the battle of ALESIA is a curiosity to satisfy. Location/Rental accommodation: The pitches are spacious and shaded, very pleasant. Location/Rental accommodation: Two things: the noise from traffic due to the proximity to the Paris road and the lamps on the campsite that are lit all night (in a tent it’s as bright as day). I suggest using dimmers to at least reduce the intensity. One last point about the cleanliness of the site: campers are not always respectful of the places.
