Camping de Riquewihr

Great location and super friendly staff. We felt very comfortable here. This is a campsite and not just a parking lot. It's a fantastic starting point for exploring the area. The rolls from reception are excellent. We would happily come back.

We reserved for a week and received spot 113, right next to the toilets and dishwashing area. From 6:00 AM to midnight, we dealt with slamming doors, flushing toilets, bright lights, and – worst of all – audible toilet sounds, even during our meals. Meanwhile, we saw better spots occupied for 1-2 nights. Upon departure, I reported this in an extensive French text. The staff member was shocked and called the manager. Her treatment was even worse than the spot: no greeting, barely making eye contact, unfriendly, and immediately defensive, without even reading my complaint. First reaction: “Why are you only bringing this up now?” When I indicated that I found a partial refund reasonable, her response was, “Aha, so it’s about money.” Due to her approach and the language barrier, the conversation escalated, and I also reacted poorly out of anger. Listening first and taking a guest seriously could have avoided a lot. Very disappointing.

A beautiful and quiet campsite located not directly in a town, but away from it all. The use of public transport (e.g., bus to Colmar) is quite feasible, but it requires a bit of walking. There are no shopping options directly at the campsite besides breakfast rolls, but there is alternating street food available. The pizza truck here comes highly recommended. A noticeable downside is that many sites are extremely slanted. This is surprising and frustrating.

A very well-maintained site, spacious and separated plots, clean sanitary facilities, very friendly and helpful staff. Riquewihr is very worth seeing, there are hiking trails to the surrounding villages (Kaysersberg with the Albert Schweitzer House). We would love to come back.

A lovely campsite for classic camping – everything you need is there. No mobile homes, no pool, just real camping. With its central location, it's ideal for discovering Alsace. From here, great hikes start to villages, castles, through forests and vineyards. Very friendly operators, bread service, nearby bakery and delicatessens. The upper toilet facilities are clean and well heated, the lower ones are a bit older but well maintained. Playground, pétanque court, rental refrigerators, and a rotating food truck with burgers, pizza, regional specialties, and wine tastings. Lots of shade – a bit unfortunate in autumn, certainly pleasant in summer. The only downside: very bright lanterns, it never gets completely dark in the tent or caravan, and the street is easily heard.

Nice little campsite in a great environment. Many beautiful wine villages nearby. Additionally, the site is very clean and quiet. You can relax and unwind here. I would always visit again if I am in the area.

Park-like terrain divided by hedges. Large pitches mostly shaded in the front area, sunnier in the rear. Bread roll service at affordable prices. Very friendly staff, clean sanitary facilities.

We stayed here for 10 nights. Overall, a decent campsite that is nicely laid out. Most guests stay for 2-4 nights. Positive: - exemplary Wi-Fi! We could stream without any problems. - the new, clean washroom with spacious shower stalls - daily changing food trucks and wine tastings - good location for excursions - large parcels - friendly staff - parcels designed with hedges and trees - affordable prices - guests from many countries - free tennis court right next door Negative: - parcels sometimes very steep. We could barely position our caravan - no camping shop - Baguette and such at the reception are cheap discount goods. Better to go to the baker 2 minutes away by bike: world-class! - no separate meadow for tent campers.
