Camping de Chênefleur

As soon as you step out of the car after the long journey, you feel the calm. The staff is very friendly. The check-in was a bit chaotic since there is no space to park your caravan while you check in. The spot was large and clean. The pool looks green, but that is due to the reflection, which was also indicated at the entrance. Toys are allowed, providing hours of fun. A large natural lake for swimming is just a 20-minute drive away. Food at the restaurant and snack bar is delicious, but for us, with 6 people, it was a bit too expensive. The bread service is nice. The sanitary facilities and dishwashing stations are well maintained, but some guests do not pay attention to hygiene, which is not the staff's fault. A downside is that cars drive around at all times of the day. My complaint about nighttime noise was addressed immediately. So, many positives and a few areas for improvement.

Cons

Not enough sanitary facilities for the number of guests (often a wait for shower/toilet/dishes and sometimes dirty due to high demand). Shower temperature fluctuates, sometimes suddenly dangerously hot (beware with small children!!). Entertainment with a circus tent (in French at a Dutch campsite) was definitely not suitable.

Calm and peaceful Location/Accommodation: Showers and toilets were always clean, the reception greeted us with a smile. I spent a quiet and serene time, thank you.

Beautifully maintained and very spacious campsite. The holiday season had just begun and there was even a circus tent set up that was scheduled to start the following week. Fortunately, it was located on a large area at the end of the campsite. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Very spacious pitch.

Warm welcome. Beautiful spacious spots on a lovely lawn. The sanitary facilities are fine. The swimming pool was also wonderfully clean and welcome during the heatwave. We also enjoyed delicious food at the restaurant. It's simply a great campsite for cycling in the area or as a stopover campsite heading south.

Cons

Do more advertising. I had been searching for a campsite like this for years. But now I've finally found it!!
