We stayed here for 2 days on a tour of Spain and found a flat, well-maintained, and parceled (with parcels of very different sizes) meadow site with a loose collection of black poplars. It is open from early June to mid-September. The site is located by the road, and you can hear it – however, this did not affect our night’s sleep. We found the sanitary facilities to be a decent, very clean standard. There is good free WiFi reception near the restaurant. According to information, the site restaurant (limited selection/bottled beer - more of a snack) should open at 8 p.m. – the bartender was surprised when he saw us at 8 p.m. However, he successfully organized the arrival of the chef until 8:30 p.m. So better stick to Spanish dinner times (after 9 p.m.). A selection of pizzas and simple "Platos Combinados" is offered – we enjoyed ours. For the overnight stay, we paid a reasonable 22 EUR/night (2 persons, caravan, CEE power/10 A). What we didn’t know: The road to the highlight of the region (which is why we selected the site) – the lakes "Enol" and "Ercina" - is closed to private cars from mid-April to early October from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (!) as described. This meant 12 km by bus (or taxi) – not very appealing, especially during Corona times. We reluctantly skipped it. But a good alternative to get an impression of the spectacular mountain world of the Picos is a trip to "Ruta del Cares" (almost 40 km). If you don't want to tackle the challenging mountain hiking trail, you can also enjoy the gorge below by the river. The Sunday market mentioned in all travel guides in the nearby town of "Cangas de Onis" (about 4 km) turned out to be a pretty ordinary, rather small weekly market – but just on Sunday and not as usual in a square, but in the streets by the church. It’s not worth visiting before 11 a.m. – by then, it is still being set up.
