Camping Clausensee

A lovely campsite with friendly staff.

It is actually a very nice campsite, but it is a bit aged. The operator needs to take action if they want to stay relevant. In particular, the rear area urgently needs to be tidied up. The sanitary buildings were very clean, and the staff at the reception, kiosk, and restaurant were very friendly.

A beautiful campsite with spacious pitches. We had a shady spot right next to the stream flowing through the campsite. The sanitation facilities were very clean and well-maintained. It's a lovely place in the heart of nature by a beautiful lake where you can swim. The staff are very friendly. In the restaurant and beer garden, you can enjoy good food and drinks at a reasonable price. The portion sizes are very large. Dogs are not allowed in the lake, but they can go in the stream. Our dog could jump into the water, leashed to the caravan, which she really enjoyed, especially when it was 38 degrees. The internet was decent at our spot, especially for a campsite in Germany. Mobile phone reception was a bit weak, making it sometimes tricky when walking due to GPS signals. We had two wonderful weeks there.

The campsite was very quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pitches are very spacious. We had a comfort pitch where everything was included. Unfortunately, there were too few showers and toilets during peak times. However, we will come back.

Positive: Beautiful location with access to the lake and stream. Toilets are always clean and tidy, equipped with all amenities (disinfectant dispensers, etc.). The pitches are very spacious with good power points, as well as water and waste water (at least for our pitches). Biergarten with a drinks pavilion and live music on weekends. Friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi. Overall, very clean conditions. Negative: Everything at the lake must be paid extra (SUP/pedal boat, etc.). Generally not one of the cheapest campsites (price-performance ratio critical). Dogs are not allowed at the lake, but there is a "dog beach" by the stream that would be more suitable for chamois ;-). Showers occasionally only have cold water. Pitches are somewhat carelessly laid out, more like large meadows without hedges or similar separations. No criticism, just info: There is absolutely no mobile network (Telekom) on-site.... Overall, we enjoyed our stay! For short trips, we would gladly return.

A nice campsite. The pitches are very close together. The swimming lake is excellent and refreshing. Cycling on the forest paths works well.

This is an average campsite with a nice lake for swimming. The pitches are not very large. The showers and toilets are clean, but there are far too few of them. One must be aware that the lake is public and becomes very crowded during nice weather. The restaurant is rather average.

There are too few sanitary facilities, and they are very dirty, even disgusting. Nothing gets repaired, the toilet is broken, the shower is faulty. Everywhere there were signs prohibiting grilling with charcoal due to fire hazard. Only a few people adhered to this rule. There’s a lack of site management or enforcement of rules, such as no dogs in the sanitary area, which is clearly absent. It's a shame, because the site is actually beautiful. However, it is unsuitable for those seeking peace.
