Camping Capfun Château de Galinée

Somewhat hidden, this campsite is located near the small château. Certainly, it has swimming pools, even an indoor pool, a playground, and is also nicely landscaped. There is a restaurant with a decent price-performance ratio offering simple cuisine but with friendly service, and sufficiently large pitches that even include garden furniture and a refrigerator if you book the premium pitch, so you can say: Good, you can go there. The sanitary facilities are clean and adequately sized; however, they are very plain - the washing cabins, etc. are just ready-made plastic tubs. However, the site does not meet the expectations set by its marketing. When it rains, which isn't uncommon in the region, the pitches become soft, some access paths are quite muddy, and the tall trees mean that it can rain twice on some pitches and be very shady. At the reception, you can somehow communicate in English, but there is no mention of promised German-speaking staff, and the ladies behind the counter seem clearly overwhelmed. But somehow it all works out. As a starting point for trips to Mont St. Michel, St. Malo, Dinan, and Cap Frehel, Fort Le Latte, it is well suited. Simple alternatives are available in St-Cast-Le-Guildo, which also scores with its proximity to the sea. At Plage 4 veau, you're even right by the water.

Those traveling with discount cards (ADAC or Acsicard) have only a limited selection of parking spaces. Shady and with tree obstacles. Staff could not say which space was occupied. However, nicer spots were immediately offered at an additional charge! Additionally, one had to wear an ID band and pay per person. Expensive tourist tax and environmental fee. The bill was only provided upon request. The restaurant was mediocre and only opened at 6:30 PM. No bar during the day. The night-time quiet and the clean sanitary facilities were good. Beautiful excursion options, but only reachable by car.
