Camping Charlottenlund Fort

A well-organized campsite with good infrastructure, spacious spots, and great charm. The washrooms and service areas are fantastic and very clean. The booking process is very easy online, and access to and within the campsite is excellently managed. The renovation of the old fort has been very successful, exuding a distinctive character that has been consistently implemented. There are only a few spots available for motorhomes, caravans, and tents - but if you wish to camp in close proximity to Copenhagen, Camping Charlottenlund Fort is a fantastic choice.

Very nicely located campsite. We checked on our way from Sweden here, unfortunately everything was full. After the lunch break we checked again and were lucky to grab the last free spot. So definitely reserve online, otherwise you really need luck to get a spot. Very easy to do, reserved/paid online and received everything by mail. Access code for the gate, spot assigned by mail, electricity connected and enjoy! Access to WC/Shower via the code. Very clean! The short path to the sea, the feeling, and the view make the place really beautiful.

A campsite close to the city right by the sea, a great option for a trip to Copenhagen. Wonderful facility, you shower and cook in the bunker and stand among the historical cannons. Restaurant, ice cream parlor, and public transport are within walking distance, surprisingly quiet for the location.

I really liked the campsite and the sanitary facilities. Located in an original old fortress complex. Good access to public transport and by bike. The organization with access codes is very good. However, ultimately, strangers could enter the premises without problems and I didn't see any security at night. A Danish sports group was doing their exercises on the fortress wall and then left over the campsite.

Well-maintained, small campsite by the sea with advantageous bus and train connections to downtown Copenhagen. Great atmosphere with the sanitary facilities in the former bunker and the old defense structures. I am already looking forward to the next visit!

The site is directly in an old fortress and one is - despite being right on the beach - very sheltered from the wind. The sanitary facilities were very clean and well equipped. There were great cooking facilities available, among other things. You can get to Copenhagen either by bus or, very leisurely, by bike. In the immediate vicinity, there is a good restaurant, a beach hut, and a nice café.

The campsite is very well protected in an old fortress. The facility is well maintained and is located near the beach. Good public transport connections to the city center. Shopping opportunities nearby.
