A small, idyllically situated, very friendly and atmospheric campsite for smaller campers and tents. Terraced ground on the slope above the Rhine Gorge, reachable on foot in about 45 minutes. Dreamy panoramic views during the day and a fantastic starry sky at night. The site is very close to nature and purposely kept small. There are several fire pits with free firewood and dry areas to stay. There are some slides and pedal cars for the kids. The sanitary facilities are simple but spotless. The showers are among the best we've had so far. The reception is only staffed in the mornings and late afternoons. There is no shop. However, the prices for the pitches are very fair. In the village of Carrera, 5 minutes away, there is a bus stop (bike transport possible). Overall, one of our favorite campsites - also because there are no permanent campers or large motorhomes and the atmosphere on the site is extremely friendly and positive.
