We stayed at a camping spot. The sanitary facilities are spacious and cleaned several times a day. The spots are shaded. The campsite is located directly by the river, which meant we visited the on-site pool minimally. There is entertainment for young and old. Definitely a small-scale campsite to recommend. Pitch/Accommodation for rent: Shaded. The river is very easily accessible from all spots

👍 The pitch we had was super spacious and shady. The river is beautiful and the surroundings are lovely too. Pitch/Accommodation: Large pitch with 10 ampere electricity. Shady and offers privacy from other pitches. 👎 Make sure you don't get assigned a pitch by the playground. There is no parental supervision, and the children scream all day long on the trampoline. The owner is willing to enforce rules, but the disturbances return every day. The toilet facilities are kept clean, but the campers themselves are rather messy. The pitches are so large and there is no limit on the number of people per pitch, allowing whole groups to camp in one spot. Although we didn’t experience any issues ourselves, this creates a different kind of dynamic at the campsite. Pitch/Accommodation: Disturbance from the playground, especially due to the trampoline where up to 10 kids can be at a time...

Superb location by the river. Clean and peaceful campsite. Direct access to the river.
Friendliness was not necessarily present, and no one came to us to guide us even though there were camping staff present! The rental accommodation was always missing a few things: bread, it was impossible to get change, certain items were out.

... well suited for families. There is much to experience in the immediate neighborhood: A castle ruin, Château de Peyrelade, which is great for hiking and offers a glorious view of the Tarn valley; The Caves d'Entre-Deux-Monts are ancient stone cellars, some of which are open for visits; below the castle, there is a quarry where fossils can be found; The Käse Peyrelade, whose namesake cheese tastes similar to Roquefort; overlooking the town is the Piédestal De Fontaneilles, a small tower that looks like a chapel from below; and much more, especially many small streets, and every curve is a postcard. The site offers entertainment in summer, a pool, a bar, and a snack bar where you can get pizza and similar items, but baked goods must be ordered in advance. The sanitary facilities are in reasonable condition. Here, as in all the places in the region, you can also go canoeing. You are taken upstream and dropped off in the canoe, then you paddle back to the campsite. There are 10, 15, and 20 km tours.

Very nice, cozy campsite with excellently clean sanitary facilities: Huge shower cabins with enough standing space and a well-thought-out drainage system, water nice and consistently hot, super! Nice reception, comfortably large tent pitches.

From La Malène, around 30 kilometres from the campsite, a five-hour hike starts over the mountains to the Roc des Hourtous, from where the view of the rugged cliffs of the narrow valley is breathtaking. The return journey is along the hiking trail directly into the valley. The Gorges du Tarn are also home to some of the most beautiful climbing crags in the south of France.
