Our evaluation in brief: outdated, unkempt site with many huts and few pitches. The sanitary facilities are unattractive. There is no grey water disposal. Service is unfriendly. Prices are completely exaggerated due to poor quality. Le Croix du Sud is on our blacklist. Contrary to its name, this is not a campsite, but rather a wild mixed jumble of wooden huts, tiny houses, and old caravans. The site is outdated, run-down, and poorly maintained. Even the reception at the entrance gave us this impression. The pictures on the website are embellished and do not reflect reality.

We arrived quite late (10 PM) at the site without a reservation and were immediately helped very kindly. The sites are located among tall pine trees, the ground is softly earthy, the sanitary facilities are not exclusive but well-maintained, and the surroundings are very naturally green (wine cultivation...). We booked 2 nights with our camper and find that €24 per night is great for the location and the amenities. The campground offers fresh baguette and pains au chocolat in the morning, there is a small but nice pool, and a great restaurant (Le Will, Pizza La Will is highly recommended - goat cheese, honey, nuts) is 500 meters away. To see the wonderful beach or attractions like St. Tropez or the Ramatuelle lighthouse, a car or bicycles are useful (about 10/20 minutes drive). A nice spot for camping ;)
