Not worth it, especially not because of the caves.

Cala Gonone is not worth it overall. The two parking spots in the village cost in high season basically the same as parking incorrectly once, which is also a rip-off. The walk from the parking spots to the caves takes about 4 hours each way. Unfortunately, there is nothing positive to evaluate.

The campsite is not really nice. More of a transit site. The washrooms are old and worn out. There is no toilet paper and no soap. I found it rude that as a solo traveler I had to pay for 2 people, even though there was no indication of this anywhere, neither at the reception nor on the price list on the website. The owner said that’s just how it is. That you have to pay 12€ (!) for the camper service if you stay less than 2 nights is also outrageous - but at least that was transparent beforehand. The little place is not so idyllic either. I think mostly guests come here wanting to take a boat tour, and then they leave again. The positive: the staff were friendly and the individual spots are quite nice. There is plenty of shade and trees for hammocks. In addition, you can reach the supermarket and the harbor for the boat tour in just a few minutes on foot. The journey here from the north via the mountain road is amazing, super beautiful!

Sanitary facilities are good. Pool is good. Quiet. Perfect starting point for boat trips of all kinds. We rented a 40 hp inflatable boat and explored the beaches on our own. That's my recommendation. At the end of August only half filled.

So far everything is good, but we did not receive an ADAC discount except for €2 on electricity, not even upon request! No idea if this is how it is supposed to be or if it was decided arbitrarily by the reception!

The beach is accessible in a 5-minute walk. Likewise, the village center with restaurants and cafes. The campsite also offers boat trips, which are highly recommended. We went to Cala Sisine by boat and walked back to Cala Luna. From there, the boat picked us up again. Excellent sanitary facilities that are cleaned several times a day!

For a campsite in the town, absolutely great - beautiful wooded area and in just a few minutes you are in the middle of the town, at the harbor or at the small local beach. The feared nighttime disturbance from the road did not occur. After about 10:00 PM and until around 8:00 AM, there was actually no traffic noise to hear. Also, during other times, depending on the pitch, hardly anything can be heard from the road. Very advantageous - due to the location, the selection of restaurants within walking distance is pleasantly large. This was also necessary since the campsite's own restaurant was unfortunately closed. Only a small bar with cold drinks, coffee, and croissants was open. The sanitary facilities are clean, although they do show quite strong signs of use. Although dogs are allowed on the campsite, the place was almost free of dogs. This campsite fortunately does not require "identification wristbands" and is otherwise quite uncomplicated. At the reception, we were able to charge our phones, and on the day of departure, we were allowed to stay for free until the afternoon upon request.
