Very friendly reception, always helpful. Very nicely laid out. At every pitch, there is water and electricity. Washroom, showers finished with granite. Everything very well maintained, even though it is simple. Sink unfortunately only with cold water. Showers are nice and warm to hot. Washing machine and dryer available. Costing 4€ each; however, they work great. The quiet location of the site is a big plus! Within a few hundred meters, there is a bus connection (line 1) to the city. Or you walk/ride your bike directly into the city in a few minutes. Also accessible on foot. No animals allowed on the premises, which I found very pleasant. Disposal of the WC cassette next to the washroom (not accessible by vehicle). Gray water disposal without any issues.

The site is nicely located directly next to the lighthouse. The reception at the front desk could be friendlier. The spots are nice and large and relatively flat. Each spot has a sink with cold water and an electrical connection. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are somewhat dated and are only superficially cleaned. There is warm water only in the showers. Dishes and laundry must be washed with cold water. That is unacceptable. There is no way to get fresh bread in the morning, no small shop, and the restaurant was also closed. For the price, that is not acceptable. There are two restaurants directly next to the campsite. Unfortunately, we had no good experiences. The restaurants open only at 8 PM by prior reservation. All the guests of the campsite have left. Apparently, they don't depend on this clientele.

We wanted to check out Santander and drove here based on a YouTube video. At the entrance, there was only a gardener who indicated we should choose a free spot and that we could register later, the boss would be back in an hour. The campsite was mostly empty, about 10 other campers were there. So we set up, our little dog (Cavapoo) watched us. Suddenly, the gardener came over, pointed at the dog, and said only "impossible". I asked if the dog had to go inside the camper, but he just said we had to leave the spot. Then the boss arrived and barked at me "put the dog inside and leave". I asked what the problem was, we had traveled through all of France and there had never been a problem anywhere. He just said "this is not France". I asked if there was another spot where dogs were allowed, to which he simply replied "Go back to Bilbao". He quickly cut the power and left. We packed up and drove back towards France. Of course, I know there are campsites where dogs are not allowed, but I have never experienced such unfriendliness, even hostility, in over 30 years on a campsite.

Okay, everything is a bit outdated, great connection to Santander, unfriendly staff, the light goes out in the shower after a few minutes (inconvenient when you're in the shower in the evening)
