Beautiful, quiet place, about 1.5 km from the beach, accessible via very nice walking paths. Cycle path to the next village with bars, restaurants and SPAR supermarket with very good meat and sausage counter about 2 km away. The partly sandy, mostly firm environment in semi-desert character with low bush and shrub growth invites for extensive walks. The place itself is not a beauty, but it’s fine, restaurant and supermarket are good, sanitation is always thoroughly cleaned. The staff is very friendly. A standard pitch is sufficient for about 8m motorhome, there are also larger ones. Now in winter, without leaves on the trees, there are nice sunny spots. Wifi is free and sufficient for standard applications, 4G and 5G reception is good and stable enough for HD streaming.

Inside great, outside terrible!!

Beautiful site with very little shade, but sanitation, market, and restaurant are top-notch!! The situation outside the site is catastrophic: the long road to the beach passes by the local plastic greenhouses, which are deserted and surrounded by mountains of plastic waste that fundamentally spoil the fun!! Here, Spain shows its ugly side. The site can be as beautiful as it wants.

Quiet Campsite

Beautiful large parking spaces. Unfortunately, there is a lot of plastic also on the campsite and especially in the surrounding area. Not really suitable for a beach holiday, as you find yourself in the midst of greenhouses. The staff at the reception could definitely be a bit friendlier. The restaurant is often open and the pizza is recommended. The supermarket opens when the staff is there. Fresh baguette every morning, but the rest of the offerings were meager. Conclusion: Without a car or at least a bicycle, the stay would be quite boring.

Clean at the site, surroundings are okay...

Sanitary facilities and space clean. Overall, however, more of a parking lot vibe. Sites are sufficiently large, XL sites available.

Bad Experience with Timely Cancellation!

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our parking space for spring 2024 again. It was communicated at the time of the deposit that the deposit amount would be refunded if canceled in a timely manner. Which we have now done. However, our emails are simply no longer being answered; after 3 weeks we still have not received the deposit back, even though we have now reminded them 4 times. So I can only recommend everyone to be cautious here!

Really a quiet and tidy place. We were there at the beginning of May and almost alone at the site. The surroundings are dotted with greenhouses but the nearby town is breathtaking. The site is a bit aged but clean. The restaurant and supermarket are great. Free Wi-Fi at the site. We would come back.

Camping on the Edge of the Gabo de Gata Nature Park
Very good8
Dominic
This site belongs to a group "Campingred" that are all open year-round and have a comparatively high standard; however, they are also expensive. ACSI card is accepted. The regular sites are very tight and you have no privacy; it's like being on a simple motorhome site! However, there are also larger sites available for an extra charge, with disposal and supply services, although the latter couldn't be used with my motorhome due to lack of compatibility and positioning. The sanitary facilities are okay, and so is the restaurant. The minimarket is useful; the freezer could use some cleaning up. Staff is friendly and helpful. The swimming pool had not opened during my visit. Miele washing machines. The surroundings are not very nice, as many greenhouses are adjacent. However, the nature park is very beautiful, although still quite far away! Scooter recommended! Bank and supermarket are each in the next town (accessible by bike). All in all, recommended for 2-3 nights.

Very beautifully laid out campsite, sanitary facilities clean and well-equipped! The washing machine and dryer are great and at 7.20 for one drying and washing it's also reasonable! The way to the sea is a bit difficult; it's advisable to have a bike or take the car! At least 3 km away! At the sea itself, it's great - not overcrowded, few bathers! We did not use the pool and supermarket! The next large supermarket is 18 km away in Almeria, where there were also Aldi and Lidl!
