Camping Bratland in Haukeland, a district of Bergen on the south-west coast of Norway, is an ideal place to discover the many great sights of Bergen. The terraced, tree-lined site, surrounded by woods, nestles idyllically on the crystal-clear Lake Søyle. There is a bathing jetty for a wonderful dip. You can also set sail in a pedalo or kayak. Some of the cottages with shared bathroom facilities have a kitchenette, barbecue and terrace. Children love the lovely playground. There are good restaurants 7 kilometres away in Mannsverk and in Bergen, and a supermarket in Haukeland. Sightseeing highlights in Bergen include the Bergenhus fortress, the Romanesque St Mary's Church and the Maritime Museum.

Divided by a road, the site is terraced multiple times with bushes and trees, located by the Søyle Lake. Pitches for caravans and motorhomes are gravelled, tent pitches on grassy areas. Views of Haukeland Lake. Road within earshot.

Good for passing through
The campsite had the best sanitary facilities on my Norway round trip. The reception by the staff was friendly (in German) and they helped me find a pitch. Since I arrived relatively early, I got a pretty good spot. Throughout the evening, more and more motorhomes were being directed to their spots.… More

Nothing for tents
In my opinion, money is just being raked in because of the location near the mountains. Unfriendly and expensive.

Good and Clean Campsite
Clean, nicely laid out site. Very nice operator who speaks German. Showers, toilets, and a washing room with kitchen available and clean. Highly recommended.

Optimal for a visit to Bergen
A smaller site, conveniently located for a visit to Bergen. Sanitary facilities are quite new, many showers. Perfect for visiting Bergen
Very friendly staff. The place was very crowded, as there are few alternatives in the area. The sanitary facilities are extremely busy, and you have to queue before the shower. They are okay, with relatively little shelf space/hooks.

Clean and tidy. Showers and toilets seem new. Campsites in order. Staff friendly and helpful. You can get the Bergen Card here. With this, the bus and tram are free and there are various discounts in Bergen. Bus stops directly in front of the campsite (about 30 minutes to downtown).
