The site is partly with plots, and partly free-standing in the terrain. The lake-view sites are also plotted. Otherwise a simple site, with partly steep inclines. Small bakery, market, and fruit stand on the site. I found the sanitary facilities exceptionally good. Always clean (nice ladies always cleaning) and very well cared for. Beach all around, but mostly rocky.

We booked 7 days at Camping Bijar during the Corona summer, and it became clear after just a few days that we wanted to extend our stay. We had a pitch right by the sea and enjoyed every single day here. Actually, we didn't want to use the sanitary facilities that often - but they were extraordinarily well maintained. From 7 to 12 o'clock, fresh bakery goods are available for purchase on the premises. There is also a small supermarket (could definitely be nicer) and a fruit and vegetable stand providing the essentials. We chose the campsite Bijar because there are no special offers for children or dogs. VERY NICE... very laid-back ;-)

It is a wonderful place nestled in nature. There are fixed spots, but mostly free spots, including some directly by the sea, which are only available for tents. Personally, I've never seen such clean washrooms. Otherwise, everything is available on-site. In just a few minutes on foot, you can reach Osor, a very old and charming little town. What we liked best was the warm interactions among Croats, Slovenians, Italians, Germans, Austrians, and all the other nationalities. It is a small campsite without fuss and is strategically well located for excursions.

The best sanitary facilities I have seen on a campsite so far, and they are always being cleaned a lot during the day. The spots are all located in the woods. The campsite is on a slope, and the path from the spots in the front rows to the sanitary facilities is very steep.

Very nice, small camping site with some permanent campers, but they do not "ruin" the overall picture of the place. I mean by that, that there are no designated permanent camper sections. There are various areas for swimming suitable for everyone. For children who want to jump into the water, there are small piers (about 0.5 - 1 m high blocks). With a little walk of about 10 minutes, you can even find real cliffs in the area with jumping opportunities of about 2 - 8 m high. The water here is reasonably safe with a depth of about 3 to 4 m. The wash houses are kept very clean and are cleaned several times. The toilets are equally clean and always stocked with sufficient paper. The supermarket is small, but offers everything needed for camping. Rolls, butter, jam, sausage, or cheese are all freshly available. For larger purchases, you can drive to the nearby Mali Losinj (about 20 km and 20 minutes drive). For wheelchair users, it can be a bit strenuous, as it is a sloped site. Going down is quick, but going up is manageable with help. The staff is very friendly and attentive, helpful. You can easily recognize them by their uniform red t-shirts. They also show you around the site with an electric vehicle if requested. There is a large waste collection point on the site where everything can be sorted cleanly. Unfortunately, there are no smaller trash bins on the site where you can dispose of your ice cream wrappers or smaller waste. The site is therefore also recommended for children, as there is not as much vehicle traffic as is sometimes found on larger sites. Conclusion: All in all, a very nice small camping site for families with children. Very clean water and a very nice area for walking as a balance.

Close to the historic town of Osor in Croatia, Camping Bijar delights guests with its fantastic location in the middle of a dense pine forest. Right next to the campsite are well-tended pebble and rocky beaches that are ideal for swimming and water sports. There is also a small jetty for boats and numerous sports facilities on site. A friendly entertainment team and a lovely playground keep the little ones entertained.
In the west of the popular holiday island of Cres and only around 500 m from the picturesque coastal town of Osor, guests at Camping Bijar experience an unforgettable holiday in the middle of a centuries-old pine forest. The 200 or so pitches are shaded by ancient trees. The 5-hectare campsite is located directly on a 500-metre-long rocky beach and a 100-metre-long pebble beach. Families can splash around in the clean waters of Kvarner Bay. A separate section is designated as a dog beach. The pet-friendly campsite also has its own shower for four-legged friends. The campsite scores points for its environmental awareness. After all, it was honoured with an eco-award for its organic wastewater treatment plant. Thanks to the dedicated entertainment team, the youngest guests can enjoy an entertaining holiday on the island of Cres. There is also a playground to let off steam. The campsite also has a private jetty and a slipway. This makes the campsite ideal for guests who bring their own boat on holiday. A volleyball court and a basketball court invite you to play fun games on the family campsite. There is also a great atmosphere in the cosy restaurant with sun terrace, which is located right by the sea. Typical Mediterranean dishes with local olive oil provide a special treat for the palate. Those who prefer to prepare their own meals can buy ingredients from the campsite shop.
Osor, the oldest town on the island of Cres, is just a short walk from Camping Bijar. Because of its narrow, romantic alleyways, the remains of the historic town wall and the numerous picturesque buildings, Osor is also known as an open-air museum. The well-preserved cathedral with its towering spire is well worth a visit. In summer, numerous concerts are held in the sacred building as part of the music festival. For a hike, Camping Bijar offers a hike to the Osorščica mountain on the neighbouring island of Lošinj. Active hikers can walk directly from Osor along a 25-kilometre trail past numerous caves and plants typical of the island. A magnificent view of the Croatian coast awaits them at the summit.
