On the Île de la Barthelasse, the Camping Bagatelle campsite is surrounded by dense deciduous trees. From some spots, you have a direct view of the Palais des Papes and the ruins of the old Pont Saint-Bénézet bridge in Avignon. The centre of the old town is very close to the bridge. The pitches for motorhomes are largely separated by dense hedges. The pitches are spread over two levels on the site. Everything is catered for on the lively site: a hotel with a restaurant is connected to the site and caters for guests' physical well-being. Guests can also have fun playing pinball in the amusement arcade and a small shop stocks groceries.

Summarized by AI
This campsite scores with its unbeatable location right on the Rhône, making it a breeze to walk into the old town of Avignon. Campers particularly enjoy the shady, spacious pitches under tall trees. Good to know for the trip: Anyone heading here should be prepared for somewhat dated sanitary facilities.

We were here last year and again this year, we had a nice shady pitch. A very good starting point to explore Avignon, you just need to cross the Rhône bridge and you are in the old town. Pitch / Rental accommodation: Sufficiently large and shady pitch with electricity and water nearby.
The washroom is relatively old but clean. Pitch / Rental accommodation: It would be nice to install new toilets and showers.

A more than warm welcome. The sanitary facilities are rather old but impeccably clean. Location/Rental accommodation: The pitch for motorhomes is large enough to open the awning.

We were well looked after. We had a violent thunderstorm overnight. This knocked some branches onto my motor home. The site manager removed the branches during the storm and returned to help us in the morning. He could not have been more helpful Pitch/rental accommodation: Pitch was ok good view across the Loire to the city. A bit more grass would be nice.
Pretty good. All round
