There is direct access to the lake, and the sanitary facilities are relatively clean. Campsite/Rental accommodation: There is relatively a lot of shade!

Cons

The access roads are super narrow and parked up. The beach is very stony, and the pier is dilapidated and lacks a ladder into the lake - so it serves no purpose. The mini-market only offers snacks and soft drinks.

The plots were tiny, you felt like you were almost sitting in the neighbors' laps. The sanitary facilities were clean - however, during the entire lunch break (when you are not allowed to drive onto the site with the car!) the pressure washer roared. The showers need to be fed continuously with 50 cent coins. The beach is also very small and the jetty leading into the water serves no purpose, as there is no staircase to enter the water. The minimarket sells almost exclusively soft drinks and snacks, with hardly any useful items available. We expected something different based on the description here!

Pros

We had the pleasure of using this amazing campsite for 6 days. We were 2 spots away from the restaurant and the lake. At the restaurant, you can enjoy delicious meals with a view of the lake. The toilet block was renovated and looked extremely tidy. The showers, however, were charged at 0.50 cents for 3.5 minutes. The campsite owners were there every day and were very helpful. When we couldn't get a taxi back after a day in Rome, the campsite owner personally came to pick us up with a friendly smile, top service! We definitely recommend this campsite.

Actually nothing. Spot/Accommodation: The spot we had was not large, but everything fit on it, so it was fine.

Pros

Beautifully spacious pitches. We had a pitch with four trees and lots of shade. Lovely with temperatures above 30 degrees. A stunning lake with crystal clear water. Great for stand up paddle, canoeing, sailing, and swimming. And many fun outings nearby. Rome and Ostia are highly recommended.

Cons

There are no washrooms with sinks for private washing. We had private sanitary facilities, so we didn't miss it. Pitch/Accommodation: On Saturday night, you could hear the party from the nearby beach club quite well.

The sanitation should be cleaned more frequently and earlier; at 9 AM there hadn't been any cleaning yet, even though large groups of youth were camping on the grounds. The sanitary was really dirty! There is also a lot of waste to be found by the lake and it feels very dated. The restaurant is also outdated and disorganized. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Poor cleaning all over.. Noise disturbances from large groups, silence after 11 PM was not enforced.

🤝 You feel welcome at this quiet campsite by a beautiful large lake, where we have enjoyed swimming several times. We are parked with our caravan under a few trees that provide excellent shade. The train ride to Rome takes about an hour, which is quite doable. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: Nice spot in the shade with a view of a beautiful lake. 👎 The transport from Camping Azzuro to Brachiano could be improved. The city buses run eight times a day. The last one departs from Brachiano back to the camping at 18:10. If you are not on time, you can take a taxi, but this needs to be reserved in advance. If a taxi is not available, you will have almost no way to contact them. In that case, you'll have to walk down a dark 'dangerous' road to get to the camping. Two kilometers can be quite far. This is really a point of concern for the campsite to address.
