The campsite is located directly on the idyllic Auensee. You can expect a reed-covered shore with several bathing piers and a lovely sunbathing lawn. Perfect for jumping into the cool water on hot days or just relaxing. There is also a great children's playground right by the lake.

Q: How are the pitches designed and what should I keep in mind?

For holidaymakers, there are around 50 flat pitches on a green meadow as well as a separate tent meadow directly on the lakeshore. Since the site is also popular with many permanent campers, there is usually a cosy atmosphere. A little tip from campers: it is best to bring levelling ramps with you, as some corners are not completely flat.

Q: Is the campsite also suitable for an overnight stopover?

Absolutely! Thanks to the excellent and close connection to the motorway, the site is perfect as a stopover on your journey. Many campers use it for exactly this. Since it can get a bit livelier in the evenings near the wash blocks or due to the public access to the lake on weekends, a pitch in the back area is ideal for those who want it particularly quiet.

Q: What costs and discounts can I expect at the campsite?

Prices depend on the season and your choice of pitch. Since the site cannot be booked directly via PiNCAMP, you can ask about the exact prices directly on site. Here is an overview of the most important cost factors: Electricity connection (16 amps) is available at the pitches. Hot showers are charged extra (approx. 50 cents for 4 minutes). Dogs are very welcome on the site and are charged separately. Gas cylinder supply and motorhome disposal are available directly on site.

Q: How straightforward is the journey and what equipment do I need?

The journey with a car and caravan is super relaxed and easy thanks to the location close to the motorway in Joditz, Upper Franconia. On site, everything is very uncomplicated and warm. For your stay, you should pack some coins for the showers in addition to the mentioned levelling ramps. By the way, the site is an attractive destination in both summer and winter!

Q: What is the catering and shopping situation like?

Directly on the campsite, there is a cosy kiosk for small items, a restaurant and a snack bar just 50 metres away. If you want to cook for yourself, you will find a grocery store in the centre of Joditz, about 500 metres away. For larger weekly shopping, simply drive to the nearest supermarket in Köditz, about 7 kilometres away.

Yes, dogs are very welcome on the campsite! The beautiful nature around the Saale loops and the hiking trails in the immediate vicinity are perfect for long walks and strolls with your four-legged friend.

We were here for one night on our way and are very enthusiastic. A lovely small campsite right by the bathing lake. The sanitary facilities are newly renovated and very modern, absolutely clean and incredibly nice and friendly operators. We will definitely come back.
